Green Cure is what I use to keep PM in check.. Local hydro shop is where I get mine..
In a pinch you can use household baking soda @ 1 table spoon per gallon of water..
    Cure is Potassium Bicarbonate
    Baking soda is Sodium Bicarbonate
Both are used in cooking but I don't know the long term effects of using Baking.. Cure on the other hand I've used every week for a few years so it's a proven product as far as I'm concerned.. Weekly is my recommendation but I work mostly outside and the PM is rampant in Calif..

  3. If you want to get rid of it your best bet will be chemicals. Like eagle 20w, compass, systemic chemicals. But organics like compost tea, green cure, and alternative means like pH ed water. Those will only prevent and kick em back a little but won't really help on a mass outbreak.

  4. I use a tea made from the herb horsetail diluted, works on bud rot too

  5. Eagle 20 is for turf use like golf courses.. it's not even rated for food use let alone something I'm going to smoke..

I'll put in a bit more time and use Cure once a week.. I have to spray BT weekly to keep the caterpillars in check anyway so it's not that big a deal.. You can run a clean crop without resorting to extreme chemicals..

  6. Yeah Eagle is systemic, it will stay in the plants for a while. I would only advise it in extreme situations and only in vegg. And as you stated you don't need to resort to this, as you have options. I spray once in vegg and never have to spray anything again. But make sure you know what your getting yourself into when you use something this powerful.
