Does this critical kush sprout look alright?

    I germinated it using the paper towel method then placed it in soil when the taproot was showing , this morning the seed was just poking out of the soil so I touched the shell and it popped off then two little leafs appeared.     The sprout looks fine, your soil does not. It has no perlite..........and umnmmm.....is that flower pot made out of newspaper?

    It's my first grow nothing serious , just used soil from the backyard and the newspaper is just to start the seed in I'll move it into a proper pot when or if it grows

    uh......the newspaper is going to bleed Ink into the soil.....which is not a good thing.

    Yeah alright I'm not that worried about the seed but is there a chance it will grow big enough to be transplanted ?

    I second the bad soil comment. that things goin nowhere in that soil.

    Lol news paper ink is like 100% Biodegradable and made from soybean oil. It's not made from petroleum oil anymore, but with that being said...you most likely will get mold or some kind of rot. Keep it in a very airy area.
