one light is sitting sideways rigt above the plant, the other one is pointing the other way kinda reflecting off the walls towards the fan. Still waiting on the next one to germinate.

is it safe to tinfoil the walls?

  2. NO! Tin/aluminum foil is a no no. Since it has an uneven surface with bumps and dents it will reflect light onto the plant like a magnifying glass to an ant. It creates what is called hot spots. I have been told to use a matted white finish. A lot of people will simply use a big cardboard box with a matted white paint on it. Maybe a flat white.

  3. I agree with this. Mylar can be purchased from "Lowes" or "HomeDepot". That is what you need. A cheap alternative would be wrapping paper.

For your light situation I suggest turning the plant slightly each day to ensure equal growth around the entire plant.
