  1. Blades that live in rural towns and small towns that are in the middle of nowhere i have questions .. Do you ever dream of living in a big city? And is your town like Springfield like the simpsons where everyone knows each other? Whats the craziest thing you'ver seen in your small town? C'mon talk to me blades ..

  2. I grew up in a very small town in upstate New York. I always hated it I always wanted out so I could live in a city. I hayed the fact that everyone was close minded and the graduating classes were so small there was no diversity. Just a ton of redneck people never really had fun as a kid until I was like 15 started smoking and found a tiny group of cool stoners.

  3. I wanna move to a rural town by sacramento the cuty sucks

  4. Grew up in the burbs and ended up moving to Chicago for a few years. Funnest year of my life! The city has its setbacks though. Your constantly surrounded by sounds. In the city limits you will never escape the sounds of sirens. Weed was pretty expensive too. Winters sucked as I had to walk/bus/train everywhere I went and it was COLD as fuck.

The city I'm from is pretty small, everyone sort of knows each other or at least of each other. Never really seen too much crazy shit here.

  5. Wow you want to move to rural sac town? (sacramento) I used to have friends from sac town and they said sac town is a place where anything is what you can make of it ... because its like Mayberry & to think rural sac town wow those are even smaller towns@ ratio

  6. See thats what im talking about .. im from los angeles then i spent my teen's to my late 20's in a small town in san bernardino county .. then i moved to vegas .. I couldnt get used to living like that in a place where everybody practically knows everybody and there was never nothing going on or nothing to do .. just sit around & smoke & to have fun we'd have to travel an hour or so away from the house@ogkushfromthewestcoast

  7. Born, lived, and will die in Niotaze, Kansas. Would never want to live in the city, ever. I can have way more fun on my 400 acre farm than I could in the city. And believe me, there's no cop to bust me smoking on my own property.

  8. pretty much everyone in my town knows everyone else which is neat because there are some real characters in my town. You've got the Vietnam veteran who became messed-up in the head and thought everyone was an FBI informant, and I mean everyone. He would even spy on our football practices sometimes. You've also got the old man in suspenders who digs through people's trash looking for free food to feed to his chickens. Someone could probably write a book about the people in my town and their experiences. Like Knockemstiff by Donald Ray Pollock.

  9. I prefer to be in a small town that is within an hour or two of a major city. Ive lived in large cities and just never cared for it very much. Where I live now has around 3500 people. It has zero red lights and less than a handful of stop signs. At the same time I can be in Denver in around two hours, Colorado springs in less than one.

Haven't lived here long enough to comment on the people as far as them all knowing one another. .

  10. I was born and raised in a small town and loved every minute of it. Yes, we knew everyone and everyone knew us...and it's still that way today. I never really had the desire to live in the city, but was forced to for a few years because of college. No major universities in the sticks....LOL. It was a lot of fun for about a MONTH and then the shine totally wore off. I hate traffic, I hate idiots and definitely prefer the company of the trees and varmits to that generally available in the city. Sorry, but nothing is better than the solitude, serenity, peace and stunning beauty provided by nature that I get to experience daily because I DON'T live in the concrete jungle. To each his own.
My funny small town story: Every year during football season we have the homecoming parade. This generally consists of about 6 floats constructed from cardboard, duct tape and spray paint (created by the local high school talent), the cheerleaders, marching band and a few others and the citizens of our great town. .maybe 500 people (counting the school population). One year we were all standing at the red light (the ONLY red light...and it's totally unnecessary and nothing that a good 4-way stop couldn't handle) waiting for the parade to come through town. A car was coming down the street...looked like a lead-sled from back in the 60's...moving slowly toward the red light. He was probably going about 10 mph, but when he got to the red light, he never stopped...just veered off to the right and crashed into the driver's side door of the police car sitting at the intersection. Looked like something out of a movie. Turns out the old guy had just been celebrating homecoming a little early and was TORE UP drunk. LOL The cop was pissed since they generally have a hard time keeping a car running that has enough power to chase down someone, and grabbed the poor fellow up and threw him in the car and headed for the pokey. A few football players pushed his car off to the side and the parade continued... That's how we do it here in small town America. No drunk is going to spoil our parade. LOL

I live in a very small town on the shoreline of Connecticut. Obviously has its pros and cons, and I'll list them cuz I'm super bored.

    PROS:

You know every town cop (We have 4) so getting out of tickets is cake.

You know everybody in your high school so when a fellow classmate is working at the nearest Dunkin donuts, he'll slide u a few extra items

Your middle school days are filled of memories of biking around town every day and walking to islands from the beach

School bus rides were very short

    Less crime

Everybody from a small town has a friend who sells pot so u get reduced prices

No try outs for MS/HS sports

    CONS:

Everybody knows everything about everyone (it's terrible)

No good fast food restaurants like Wendy's or Taco Bell within 30 minutes

Being bullied in a small town is 100x worse than a large town

Every store closes at like 9 PM

    No night life

Seeing people u know like teachers and grandparents when high in public is guaranteed

No professional dealers, all HS drop outs who are the middle man and sell for too much

Closest headshop is 30 mins away

Every good party is busted by cops cuz they have nothing better to do at 11 PM
Can't wait till I can move down to Virginia once I graduate college...

  12. Well, in my case to answer your question, man, yeah, it's exactly like Springfield in my town, everyone is in each other's back fucking pocket, gossip rules & reigns supreme, status is dissected publicly and overly focused on, and judgement abounds. There is a small upside in the few truly good Samaritans I've met who have helped us out of a jam or two. Although if you're like me and have a whole host of illegalities so to speak to keep on the down low, shit gets rough trying to make that work here. A lot of people, at one time much more than I was comfortable with, know full well of my blazing, frequent buying and trafficking, and other things that at the end of the day; would I rather them not? Oh fuck yeah. Do I care anymore, or can I change it? Nope. It doesn't really cause overt problems for me, but I still keep myself in check with it to keep it that way.

As far as something crazy? I have watched the highest local prosecutor/D.A's right hand man picking up a hooker and a fat bag of rock at 4am one time.

  13. I live in the middle of nowhere now. I want to move but it's the culture of the area (closed minded hillbilly pricks) not the area itself. If I do move, it will again be into the middle of nowhere. I don't like people all up in my business, I want to move around my property without being watched or my kids being looked at by creeps. Citys freak me out, too many people. IMHO people (the general public) suck/are crazy so id rather chill with nature any day

  14. Rural hillbilly checking in here. X la resident.

Nope I don't miss the smog, traffic, stuck up yuppies, bullshit city laws, people merging on the 405 at 5pm, being so close to my neighbors house that I can throw a paper in their window, neighbors that don't know each other, lights and sirens everywhere.

I love visiting LA. Would never ever move bac
