Random Drug Test Inquiries

    Are employers required to tell you if they perform random drug tests? If they didn't conduct them before, are they required to tell you when they change the policies?


    I had an interview the other day for a day care center - went really well actually. If they formally offer me the job I will be required to drug test, so I haven't smoked for a while. However, I plan in the near future to start doing so a bit more (in the past it's only been every other week or so, only a few times a month), after figuring out a way to smoke by myself, when in the past I could only smoke when I was elsewhere with some buddies. So, another question, do day cares randomly drug test?


    Disclaimer: I'm not planning on going in to work high, I like to keep my use and my job very separate.

    Check your state laws concerning this issue. Each is different
