Mandatory Vaccination Law in California.

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Carne Seca, Jul 1, 2015.

  1. For it. Those children with immune disorders count on
    those without to be vaccinated.

And Vaccines don't cause Autism either.

  2. It really depends on of you value the security of society more than the rights of the individual.

An individual shouldn't be forced something, but then again, society is stronger when less people are unvaccinated.

  3. It's abhorrent to literally force someone to have a substance injected into their body against their will no matter that it is,smart the intentions are or the consequences that may come from not forcing it on them. Personal liberty and freedom should always be the pinnacle of society. The good of society as a whole should be thought of after that and only considered if it will not infringe on the rights of the individual.

  4. Unless you got means to send your kid to a private school, vaccinate all those dirty little bastards going to public schools.

I do think it's overbearing because it applies to private schools, and personally I think private schools should be able to make their own policy for this.

Fortunately, a vast majority of people have rationally made the decision to have their children vaccinated which is the correct choice, and the herd immunity exists, so I don't really know how big of an effect this is going to have on people there in California.

If you don't want to vaccinate your child, save for any legitimate medical reason, you should take responsibility and deal with the consequences of that action, one of which is rational parents might not want their children to associate with yours.

  6. ^ pretty much my feelings

  7. No one is forcing parents to vaccinate their kids. It's simply a precondition for attending school.

  8. And attending school is mandatory sooooo... there goes your argument. Kind of like the old "of you don't like it, you can leave" fallacy.

  9. Home Schooling?

  10. Move to a different state. I mean there are other options they just happen to not be very good ones for anti vaccers. I have a hard time feeling too sympathetic for them.

  11. An advocate (a doctor) of this law actually used that when debating with an opponent last night. He said, 'That's the great thing about America, if you don't like something you can always live somewhere else." It rendered his opponent speechless with shock. Being the perverse person I am it made me laugh. I'm headed for gay hell.

  15. Vaccinations or not, the real disservice to children's health is them being fed formula rather than being breast fed.

Both my sons were breast fed and never had formula, they have been super healthy all their lives and have no weight issues.

Btw, both were home schooled, not for religious reasons, but because we didn't want them to grow up uneducated. Aka, public schooled.....

  16. Well if your kids have their shoots why should they worry about my non vaccinated kid. I thaught the shoots prevent you from getting anything.

  17. I was also home schooled and I can thank that in part for helping me on my way to becoming an anarchist. You seem like a good father.

  18. Oh. And I never got my shoots before I went to school as a kid. Gasp
My records always said I never got them and the Dr would say that must be a mistake. I would always say yeah i got them and be on my way.

  19. Well i guess everyone's kids will eventually get Autism unless the people fight back.
