Newbie looking for some answers about starting

  1. Hey guys. As a preface I've only smoked once (a hybrid) and and looking for some answers to the following.
    My friend wants me to try strong stuff(wax) but i am a bit scared of passing out or something going wrong. What is your opinions on this? Should I just do it and enjoy it as much as possible or wait till I become more experienced?
    Honestly I hardly know how to smoke properly so I feel like I'd waste it anyways. Beyond that I am wondering about the medical benefits. Will it help me focus/be more social?
    The first time I tried it I coughed a lot and afterwards during the high felt unable to do basic tasks properly(even holding stuff) Is this normal and will I get used to it ?
    It leads me to think its bad for my lungs and if it is would it be better to try edibles?
    Should I be trying edibles if I hardly tried smoking? From what I understand it's a longer high, are there any side affects that edibles induce?
    After the initial night of smoking, the next morning/day I felt incredibly slow and unable to think properly it eventually cleared up day by day. For example, I tried playing league of legends and played like a silver when a week later i could beat diamonds again. I don't really know how I can explain this feeling other than slowness.
    Last but not least what type should I get if I want to do stuff stress free ?

  2. The first few months of smoking will be the best. You will get used to doing basic tasks over time, you'll still make a fool or yourself sometimes but it's nothing to be ashamed of we get high to better enjoy life and have fun. For harm reduction concerning your lungs make sure you never hold a hit for more than 5 seconds as nearly all of the THC and other goodies will be absorbed in that time frame.


    You, and many other people tend to feel a little off the day after smoking or after the initial high. This is normal and you adapt better to the come down over time. Keeping hydrated and having some healthy meals will definitely help lessen these negative feelings. I noticed you said you tried playing League the day after and had some trouble, perhaps try playing it baked also? I do all the time and after a little practice I even enter ranked stoned and do very well, for a silver lol.


    If you want a crazy experience you could try wax with your friends assuming you had a safe, comfy place to do it. Don't do more than 1 small dab like very small and ride it out. I'm not recommending you do this but it could potentially be very fun but maybe try smoking regularly a few more times before just so you know how to handle yourself better.


    AND finally you asked what type you should be smoking. Sativas are a more heady, up beat and energetic high yet also have the potential to cause more paranoia than it's cousin the Indica which is a mellow, cough lock and lets eat ALL the food high. Choose your poison or a hybrid that you find had a good ratio like a 60/40%
     
  3. Hi everyone -- just moved to northwest suburbs of Chicago and I'm hoping somebody who lives in this area will see this post as I don't have any connections here. My wife and kids are away for the holiday weekend while I pretty much do nothing but work. Looking for a way to relax after these long days and hoping somebody will point me in the right direction as to how I can procure a small amount of herb that I can smoke this weekend.
