I used to have a RooR beaker style bong that I liked. I'm looking for something that is straight and clean. Which companies should I look at?
I would go roor because I like the quality that goes into their pieces. But to save a few bucks I would certainly look into Ehle. Never used one but they seem like a great purchase. check these out. http://www.grasscity.co.uk/online_headshop/eh...
This has actually become my favorite piece, by far. Never thought a dry piece would make that list but this is really smooth, tastes fantastic and is super easy to clean. Also easy to handle.
I would check out Burner Glassworks, they make amazing glass in Asheville, North Carolina. All of their work is well underpriced if you were to really get to inspecting it. They have potential to be a huge company but want to keep it small. You would not be disappointed if you picked up one of their pieces. They make sick straight tubes with several different types of percs, whether you want clear glass or something worked and more custom you will definitely find something to suit your needs from Burner Glassworks.
I second the Ehle suggestion that dankness made. I have a straight tube Ehle, it's a limited series (25 made) that I picked up for 200. I got it mostly because it had a checkered design on the mouthpiece like the band Cheap Trick used commonly. But back to the point, it is very easy to hit and has probably the best base I have ever seen. Very sturdy bong. Plus if you just get an "average" Ehle it should cost less than 200 edit: I dropped my bong off a golfcart earlier tonight.. IT DID NOT BREAK!
Mathematix on ALT. I got this for around 200 and its really nice, easy to clean, thick as fuck too. They are having a sale at the moment as well. I'd post some pictures of my beast, but I can't figure out how to. lol Definitely worth a look though. Mathematix is killing the glass game at the moment. In my opinion.
