This was like a year ago and they did the same thing. He was talking about oppressive regimes' mentality, I think it was russia specifically but I can't remember. They got a good sound bite out of it though lol.

I'm more and more convinced everyday that the TPP looks like it may be good. Saw an interview with Bill Clinton, not Hilary that insufferable cunt, and he was very convincing about the benefits. I still think there are many downsides and questionable things especially about the Internet. Basically a backdoor SOPA lite. However I think the other aspects are worth it. There is a lot of fear mongering on the subject. I guess we we will wait and see how it plays out, but looks like there will be some bipartisan support.

 

Yuri, at least be objective. Find a neutral source claiming its good. Of course a Gov. site is gonna say its a good thing.


With that said you have done more to convince me its good then Divine has done to convince me its bad. I just think anytime the Gov. fast tracks something its because they know once the public finds out there will be opposition.


Divine reminds me of my buddy who used to be an avid Fox News viewer. He was against anything Dems were for. One day he was barking at us all about how we must stop some bill Obama was pushing. My buddy was berating us for not being against the bill. One of my friends calmly asked "what does the bill actually do and why is it bad?" My fox news friend was speechless as he had run out of sound bites to regurgitate.



Legit question: Has the Gov. ever fast tracked a bill that actually benefited the people and not the State or Corporations?

 

I don't actually believe tpp is good. I just want to call divine out on his bullshit. He is paid to make it look like a conspiracy so we look the other way. Just like Alex Jones. Basically these people intentionally make it look loony so people wont pay attention.

The main thing in tpp that people are worried about, is that corporations can now Sue a government of laws of that government negatively impact sales.

However it is a secret court tribunal run by corporate lawyers and judges. People are worried this means the end of government ability to regulate anything anymore.

The other big thing is copyright laws. They are cracking down on downloading and will even send people to prison now
