Best value for money grinder?

Discussion in 'Smoking Accessories Q&A' started by Ribbity Dibbity, Jun 30, 2015.

  1. So I'm relatively new to this whole business and after ordering my first bong I decided it was time I purchased my own grinder instead of borrowing my friends all the time.

My question is what is the best grinder for a person on a budget can buy, I've been told I "have" to get a 4 piece but by jove are they expensive. Any help is appreciated

  2. Four chambers are roughly around 15-20 dollars, and trust me, in the long run they'll be a LOT more useful then just a regular grinder. You'd be able to extract the kief off the bud, and after a while of use, you can sprinkle it on bowls to spice it up, or make hash. IMO, it's best to save up a bit of money, and buy something with better value, and will have a lot more use in the future.

  3. Here in Australia a quality Santa Cruz or Cali crusher (go big or go home) are like $70-$100 which imo is crazy money but maybe I'll just have to suck it up and get one cause I'm tired of using fucking scissors like a pleb

  4. A grinder grinds.. Flip it upside down if it needs to be more fine. I hate the Sanatz cruz keef catcher. My screen got clogged because all the keef that had fallen off would not pass thru. Get a 2 stage grinder and smoke the keif along with the flowers

  5. Don't need to get a name brand. I picked this one up for just over $30(canadian). Its about 3.5'' diameter, 4 chamber and will certainly last a lifetime. Just shop around.

  6. I got a 4 piece off of Amazon for like $6 and its great. It's lasted me almost a year and a half so far. No metal shavings and no pieces breaking off. It produces great kief and the threading is good.

  7. Best for the money imo is diamond grind. But my preferred is either a space case or mendo mulcher

  8. Buy a 4 piece. You get what you pay for and at least with the four piece you can collect all the Kief. It is like frequent flier miles for weed smokers. I had a plastic grinder and it worked ok but I love my 4 piece.

  9. I have the same one and works like a charm:)

  10. I always just go with a space case, it cuts up great and my screen has had zero problems (I've used it for over a year). I used to buy cheaper grinders and spent way more money in the long run replacing them. Save up and buy a better one, you'll enjoy it.

  11. Any grinder that costs less than $100 is going to suck. I kid.

I just bought one on amazon that I like. The only thing that differentiates it is that you can unscrew/remove the screen if you want. I ended up just screwing the bottom to the grinding chamber and cut out the middle man (keif screen segment). I myself don't have a need for a screen but I like how a multi part grinder drops the ground bud into another area as opposed to 2 piece grinders.

  12. I bought a 3 inch( diameter) 4 piece for around $35, one of the best investments I have ever made.

  13. I bought a Sharp Shredda from amazon. Write a review and they'll send you another one freeeee! Yes they pay to inflate their ratings, which I don't like, but it got me a free $20 grinder. LOVE the pull out screen they have since I only like to use it 1/4 of the time. I've tried the $5 grinders and they work great for months or a year before the teeth grind down. I've found that I don't like diamond shaped teeth in my grinder, at some point they jam up and it's hard to grind.

  14. I bought a Phoenecian grinder ($60 US) to replace my Chromium Crusher ($35 US) I like the Phoenecian. And for some reason I always run into the problem of clogging the screen, so awesomely enough, you can replace the screens inn the Phoenecian. I like the 4 chamber because when I'm really trying to conserve bud, I'll sprinkle some kief on a bowl to replace using flower and it always packs a nice little punch.

Shtriker grinders are very good and in my opinion are not expensive.
I bought the shtriker 3.0 inch for 24.9$ through Amazon, I see now that its price has been reduced.
I see that they also have the 2.5 inch, and that is really cheap (around 17$!!).
From my experience I can only say that I am very pleased of this shtriker grinder, it is strong and durable feeling but also operationally smooth. comes like most of the grinders with four compartments and the little pollen brush .

    Look it in Amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UXWRPGW - 3.0 inch

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UVLAZQW 2.5 inch

BUT first decide on the size (diameter) 2.5 inch or 3.0 inch :)

    b,t,w. I LOVE THEIR LOGO

    good luck
