not getting any vapor from dabs

    I heat my nail up until it is glowing and then when i put my dab down to the nail nothing happens. Whats wrong?

    I know tons of seasoned smokers (ooo such a fancy title, eh?) who have never taken a dab in their life.


    To help contribute to the conversation though I'm not very experienced with dabs but my friend explained to me that you should briefly let the nail cool down before placing the dab on it. We basically heated the nail to redness, gave it like 10 seconds here or there then lowered the dab and swished it around and boy did it go!

    10 seconds isnt a long enough cool down time in my opinion, i like to let my quartz banger sit for 20-30 seconds after getting the bottom red hot. low temp dabs [​IMG]

    Don't worry man, I was confused as fuck too when I started dabbing and I'm a pretty seasoned toker lmfao
    If you touch the dab to the red hot nail it pretty much explodes into nothingness so you need to let it cool down for about 20 sec after heating then drop the dab in. A carb cap really helps with low temp dabs and gives you super milky hits (nearly bong thickness) and you can use a quarter for a cheap carb cap.
    You basically just put it on the dome and use it to block the majority of the airflow so your toke is more dab and less air.
    Works amazingly :D
