First Growth Ever Help ( Indoor )

Discussion in 'Micro Grows' started by checco420, Jun 28, 2015.

  1. Good Evening 420'ers!
This is my first growth ever and i started buying a growbox Cultibox SG COMBI Mylar 60x60x140cm equipped with everything: Vents, Carbon filter ,timer, thermometer, pvc pipes etc...so everything i'll explain happened inside it.
I'm posting this topic because the growth started to slow down a little bit and new leaves are turning yellow/dry after the 3rd week and i wanted to share it to be sure to make things right.

Whattype of medium; soil or hydro? Soil
Whatbrand and type of soil? I Mixed ¼ expanded clay(most on the bottomfor better drainage) and ¾ organic soil
    Indoorsor outdoors? Indoor
Whatstrain? Royal haze automatic from Royal Queen Seed
Howold are the plants? 4 weeks
Whattype of lights and how many watts? 5 x 23W CFL (1500 lumen each one)
    Howfar from the lights? 3”-4”
Whatis your watering frequency and source of water? Demineralized water ,every 2 days with 1,5 Lt of water.
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? Fed 7 days ago with a fert for "Green Plants" (7-3-5 NPK), and 1 day ago i added a small quantity of big bloom and grow big as reported in their soil feeding schedule.
Whatis the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? Ph : 7.0
Whatare the temps and humidity in the room? Temp 26-30 Avg Humidity 60-80%
    Whatsize pots? 5.5Lt
Anybugs? Look real close. No bugs
    Anyother pertinent info?
Light is always 18/6 with vents working properly and a smaller vent hitting the plant
I have seen 2 bottom leafs turning pale yellow and than turning completely dry after i used a fert 7-3-5. Now i cutted them and others are sprouting from the bottom
Two week ago i transplanted it because i saw i wasn't using the proper soil , than it showed an improvement but during the last 4 days it showed sign of of deficiency/light burn/ nutrient burn. ( I actually don't know which one might be the problem)
3 lamps light from the top while 2 others are both on the side of the plant

I also bought a grower kit FOX Farm TRIPLE PACK 100ml Tigre Bloom,Grow Big, Big Bloom.
Small leaf edges became yellow after 2 days of first use of Grow Big and Big Bloom.
If i might be helpful with other infos pls let me know!!!

    Thank you for your time!

    Add some nitrogen.

Google "organic compost tea", I regularly feed with deluted nettle/bramble sprouts, but clean fresh and green grass clippings are good aswell in a pinch. (Cut the grass tops by hand and you're less likely to have mold)

  4. weed is good i thank you for growing these plants

  5. What dose nutes did you add? The recommended dose or more something like 1/2 or 1/4?

  6. Not sure what you are feeding them, but maybe slow down on the nutes. Looks like you are burning them slightly. For a plant that young, you should only be giving them a light nutrient feed. What medium are you growing in?

Looks like they could use a bit more nitrogen but I would worry about that till you figure out the burning.

I transplanted it in a better soil , Biobizz Allmix and the plant seems to recover even if it's still small and it started to flower so i swapped to 5 32W CFL Bulb 27k and started the flowering stage.
I added some nutrient as fox farm kit says, nothing more nothing less.
I also cutted some dry, brown leaf which made the bulbs start to grow faster.
Ph is 6.0 right now and i am going to get it to 6.5 with a pHup solution.
Today Flushed it until the water coming from the pot became limpid.
    I'll see what happens!

    Thanks all!!!

    here it is now!

  8. Your picture isn't working here. Image upload site offline or grasscity fail?
Also be careful with biobizz allmix, it can be hot for young plants.

  9. I updated it! Don't know why it didn't work!
    Thanks.

  10. ouch, it shouldn't look like that. I would definitely hold off on nutes for a couple feedings, Maybe flush it a bit. A plant that small shouldn't need near the amount of nutes your giving her. give it more nitrogen as it looks starved.

Here is the pic after the flush.
It seems that the left stopped to burn. Now i'm waiting 2/3 days and i start with Foxfarm nute.
    What do you think?

  12. You sure the flush is already finished? Looks like its still recovering so I would wait a few more days with the nute.

  13. Thanks man i'm going to stop cute for a while.
Biobizz Allmix will do the rest.

  14. "
Yes exactly, from their website: "All·Mix is a heavily pre-fertilized soil mixture. It has been designed to emulate rich outdoor soil with a full micro active eco system"

  15. Classic nuts burn case.

  16. Ease off on them nutes. Keep flushing her with water only. Its a learning experience, you certainly won't be yielding more than a couple grams this run, but follow through till the end so you get a feel for how they react to your feedings.. Autos and VERY sensitive and don't have time to recover. But once you get the hang of it their short flowering times are amazing! Photos are much more forgiving for the beginner, but quality autos are just plain awesome haha
