Title says it all Its 2 months old but dont let that fool you. This was a seedling i saved from a failed Hydroponics experiment i did and it was stunted for at least 2 weeks after i put it into soil. Now its exploding and i planned on doing a ScOg on this. Its a Special K from Royal Queen Seeds keep in mind that i have an autoflower sitting next to it right now, thats going to be done at the end of next month. Should i just continue to Top this plant? As you can see her topping is working beautifully. Shes been topped twice now 5gal smart pot, FF Ocean Forest, Organic Nutes, tap water and 400W
You mean a scrog? If that is the case place your screen about 10" above the soil and let the plant grow in to the screen. If it is already taller than that then just start tucking branches.
its not even a foot tall yet lol, but yea i figured since i have that autoflower in there when the end of next month comes im going to put that net in there and just tuck every branch i can. But i think for now im going to top it again so i can slow it down.

yes a couple times , then just kept poking in down under the net and let it grow horizontal ,then all along the stems running horizontal new growth appeared/ stems coming off the main stem and later became bud sites , its an easy way to maximize bud sites and to get a better yield , open it up with the scrog net and exposing her to more light , that's when the magic happens and the growth explodes ,good luck
tent is a lighthouse hydro 4x4x7,scrog is simple to make and very effective, I will chop it this week end on day 73 or 74 can't wait to see the results,, and feel them
Good looking plant, if you're trying to keep it slow why not top it again. But with a dialed in scrog grow you don't <em class='bbc'>need</em> to top it. The net naturally creates more 'tops' without slowing growth.
Yea i know i dont need to top as i have once already and ive got 20+ colas, but i gotta slow the growth down somehow XD lol its gonna get to big for my tent. But once i get the net in place i can control the growth. cause my tent is only 36x20x62 so the sooner i can control this beast the better off i am Now dont jump down my throat about this, but im going to guestimate i can get this plant to 300g Dried. 5gal Smart pot with Organic Nutes, under 420W in optimal growing conditions. And the reason i came up with this number is if i can reach around 50-60 colas and each of them even just 5g a piece i can achieve 300g But comments and concerns are totally welcome. This isint my first grow but it is my first SCROG cause ive only grown Autoflowers until now.

Yea this is how my tent looks right now. But ive got a question. Ive been looking around at plant Defic's and i believe this is a molybdenum defic, because i had Ph swing about 2 weeks ago you can see it in my Quick One when i post the other pic. But this wont stop now, its all over in random spots in the new growth and im going to water her tomorrow. Anything i can do for her or just normally water her and see if it just corrects itself? Edit: the PH swing came from accidentally using a jug of RO water instead of my tap water that i let sit out. My mother has COPD so we have RO water in the house for her oxygen machine and i grabbed the wrong jug. Thats why i got the PH swing. And this is what the Quick One looks like.
The damaged leaves won't heal themselves but they won't hurt anything if the problem is corrected. It probably was from using the incorrectly pH'd water. I always have a few leaves that die off or discolor, I don't know if it's 100% preventable but I don't stress on it as long as the new growth looks good and soil pH is good. I use RO water only, but my area has really hard tap water, I don't drink it either. Do you check your soil pH?
I see you're using FF Ocean Forest? I learned the hard way that the soil pH drops during the course of the grow with ffof. I mix it 2:1 with perlite and use FF nutes. I usually have to pH adjust my water between 7-7.5 to keep the soil around 6.8 I think you should test your soil to be sure but it could be causing a CalMag/Molyb lockout if it's low.
DarkE 300 grams hope you can pull it off, big fat cola's and its possible ,all we can do is try the our best and hope the plants genetics agree with our plans. veg it to fill the entire tent and let the walls hold it all together good luck.
I guess in the future if i decided to use FFOF again ill just add 1tsp of my Dolo Lime powder per gal of soil so i dont have to worry about the PH of my soil just the PH of my water. Cause i already have a bag of dolo lime i use to do it but someone told me not to with FF soils. I always test my water before i add nutes. And since i use organic nutes i hook up an airstone about 3 hours before i water my plants, add my nutes and bubble them for about 2hrs, then i let it sit for 1 hr then PH test the water and adjust it after that. And these are the nutrients i use i won all of this besides the cal/mag from Heavy T's Grow Show. Its like.......250$+ Worth of nutrients The Terpinator itself is like...100$+ and the Mission Fert i went to their website and its like 125$ for the nutrient lineup i have.
Alright took some peoples advice and i went ahead and topped her about 10min ago. Hopefully that beats back the growth for another week or so. Im getting so excited waiting for this autoflower to finish so the real show can begin
hit a bit of a snag in the road to my fruits. Shes sucking up so much CaMg that my soil/Adding CaMg wasent doing good enough. So i added 4tbls of Dolo lime about 4 days ago and watered it in, and now ive added 3 to a jug of water that im going to airate for the next 5 days till its next watering, and water with that. Thoughts and concerns, i have to fix the PH of my soil cause i was stupid and forgot to add my dolo lime right off the bat before planting. I wanted to switch her to flowering in the next 2-3 weeks, but i think i have to wait for the Dolo lime to start working, it should take about a month? little longer since i had to use it as a topdress. I have quite a few leaves that are looking like this up in the new growth right next to where the colas are going to grow. Some look even worse then this now this was taken 2 days ago, it took the plant about 2 weeks to get to this point. Should i water with like 7.5 water? 8.0? to help raise the PH or just continue on with my normal watering with 6.5 and my nutrients? Thanks for anyone taking the time to read this.
