Where to buy led strips?

  1. I have been doing some research on diy led's and decided i want to make one using strips. I hear a lot of people using smd 5050's, what does everyone think about them? Will any "blue" or "red" strip be good spectrum for growing? because no website i have seen mentions kelvin. Most don't even mention lumen or par output?I want to make my first light somewhere between 100 and 150 watts, i believe most people use a ratio of 2 red-1 blue? maybe the other way around? For those that make there own led's id love your input and if you could provide me with the links of what you use that would be awesome!

  2. What do you guys think about this strip?

Would buy two red rolls and one blue

  3. Strips are no good for growing

  4. Could you explain why? Ive seen alot of growers use them.

  5. could you show us a pic of any grow that uses that garbage. They're so weak, that even if the spectrum was close it would take a shit ton of strips to grow anything worth while . Get a real led grow light if led is your thing.

  6. Amount of electricity in for lumens out is pathetic with strips. Try an LED. I really like the GalaxyHydro lights for reasonable price and functionality.

  7. not really enuf grunt, tho popular back east with noobs expecting regular fires, as they can illuminate the exit, and by time for the grower to get his plants outside before the fire really takes hold
