Best movies to flex the bass in my new sound system?

  1. I'm thinking of movies that have nice low rumbles and explosions to shake the room. Like the when the Enterprise goes into warp in the newer Star Trek movies, or the fight scenes of Transformers.

  2. Opening sequence to the 'old' Empires Strikes Back... is what I use...the rumple of the space craft approaching....and who said Space is Quiet? lololol

  3. Saving Private Ryan..

  4. ur best bet is probably going to be transformers, those sounds the robot make sound great on surround sound.

otherwise im thinking maybe something like fast and furious, lots of fast loud cars.

  5. not exactly focused on bass but if you wanna test the dynamic range of your setup watch "No Country For Old Men" or "Hannibal"(the tv series) The volume fluctuates so god damn much in those two, No Country goes from pure silence to car crashes and gun shots very often and Hannibal has a crazy wide range of sounds with its cinematic and percussion soundtracks

  6. Black Hawk Down

    Bad Boys II

    Dark Knight Rises

Never had volume really cranked for a bass effect with my surround set-up, but I definitely recall that some of the scenes in the original Gone in 60 Seconds (not the remake with Cage and Jolie) were good as was the chase scene in Bullitt.

Das Boot or U-571. Depth charges rock.

Also the scene from Finding Nemo where Darla is banging on the fish tank. Shake the whole house.

  9. Godzilla.
