Edibles During Tolerance Break

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Burghy, Jun 27, 2015.

  1. So I've been a multiple time a day smoker for a year or two and a steady smoker for 6 years. My jar is empty and I'm trying to save some money so I was thinking a tolerance break is just what I need.

Problem is, I have 9 pot brownies in my freezer. Will eating brownies during my T-Break make the break less effective? It might be a stupid question, I only ask because I've heard that when you eat pot that the digestion process alters the THC and it becomes a different chemical compound that is getting you high, I believe they called it THCA?

Anyone familiar with this or have any opinions?

My apologies if this is in the wrong section I'm a seasoned toker but not a seasoned grasscity-er (perhaps incredible edible herb would've been a better place)

  2. im not a pro , but im pretty sure any thc will afect your break in a negative way

  3. THCA is actually a precursor to THC, found abundantly in raw bud. To my knowledge, THCA requires decarboxylation to release carbon dioxide and convert to THC. This happens through burning, vaporizing, or cooking the bud. Cooking with raw bud will not convert as much THCA to THC as will happen when cooking with bud that's already been decarbed. Either way, some will have been converted so there will be some level of THC in the brownies. And while THCA might have some medicinal benefits, it's not psychoactive.

  4. Ah shit Idk what I was thinking then, thanks for clearing it up
