Our cold world

  1. To start off I didn't really know where to post this but I think it belongs here.

Anyway, is it just me that feels like this worlds so cold and there's just fewer and fewer people that have kind hearts? I know it's a good thing to have a good heart and good intentions in life and I personally believe I do but it just seems like cooperate greed and evil is everywhere, in so many ways, it's like everyone's a slave to something, work, drugs and other things.

What sort of people just wake up and think "I'm gonna be cruel to some animals today" or "I'm gonna go treat my family like s**t", humans have been given so many chances to be the best they can but nothing's changed, the human race is just descending into a hell on earth.

Today I got asked for some spare change by these 2 people who nicely asked for some money, obviously they were rather troubled and the story they told me was completely made up but until they walked off I realised that I'd just made a mistake, I just gave my money to the devil (metaphorically), that couple are gonna go finish their rounds then head straight to their source with a share of my money to get their fix and which it's at the end of the day supplying the dealers- dealers dealer.

Please share your thoughts on my thoughts!

I whole heartedly agree, and well put.

It's worth pointing out though that this isn't going on all over the world, at least not to the extent that we see it in the west. Go to Tibet and see for yourself. Go to the middle east and talk to your average person on the street. You might be surprised at how balanced they are. The problems over there are caused by the west, don't let the media cloud your judgement on the normal people who live there. Go and speak to some people living in the Andes, in South America. It's a problem for the whole world but not the whole world is cold.

The USA and the UK are the main culprits, I feel, and the rest of Europe not too far behind. The far east such as China and Japan I am sure suffers from similar things, although their moral foundations are much stronger, because of their traditions.

And it's not new... It's been going on since before the USA was even founded. When the British arrived in America... well... we know what they did. This greedy separatist trend had clearly already been festering for some time. I think the reason that materialism and greed are so rife in the USA now is because of the foundations laid for it all those years back. I mean, would you expect anything else? And the sad part is that powers have shifted and now the USA is the one setting the trends.

    It's really worrying.

  3. It's difficult to maintain that optimistic sense of self and the world when you walk in Wal-Mart and judge what you see. It's all in your head at the end of the day and our culture doesn't embrace that very fact, it's all in our heads. So we should be very careful with what we put in our heads. There is a sort of a rising, thru many facets people feel change. Change on a grander scale, lots of people realize the bullshit.

Read "the ascent of humanity" by Charles Eisenstein, been meaning to make a thread about it. It says we we all know, in depth.

    Woops lol

  5. I think it has to do with the empty promises of materialism, as Plop eluded.

  6. That was great. The unspeakable is indeed imbedded deep. Conscious thought and instinct can be used in all aspects of live. Even in reflection we can see our errors and slowly learn and change from them. Asking for guidance really does help. Really :)

  7. I think you should open your perspective a little

The world population is in the billions.

Every day you see evil everywhere as a rresult

Its easy to focus on such a large ammount of evil and forget how much good there is

I am with out shape Or form Im nor evil or good for I believe that a lot of evil is hidden and a lot of good is also hidden. I believe that we as the whole is confused about life therefore we tend to do evil things. Some guy somewhere in some timeline wanted the world this way... It's called money people fuck the world up for money.... Not saying every negative issues is related to money. But money could've of prevented a lot of these cold things... Its the media chemicals, abusive relationship, materialism Drugs and simply the flow of life. The forever ongoing battle between good and evil.

  10. This is where cats are a great paradox. They will simultaneously show you how much cool stuff there is in the world, while absolutely reminding you that evil is real.
