Renée Richards previously known as Richard Raskind was a transgender tennis player who started as a man and underwent a sex change. The United States Tennis Association then denied him entry into the Women's US Open, so he sued them. He won!

Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous? Surely you have to either have genders separated in sport, or not separated at all. You can't make an exception for one person
because they had a tantrum? It's not fair on the other athletes.

And if genders were separated in sport, lets face it women wouldn't even get a look in. That's why its separated. I'm not say that there aren't sports that women would out perform men in, but the fact is that in the majority of cases men would run the show. The only sports I can think of where women would have a look in are gymnastics, archery, shooting... And I'm already out of ideas. I'm not bashing women, they are way better at a lot of things than men are, but here we are talking about sport specifically. Genders need to stay separate in sport right? How did this man get to compete in the Women's US Open?

I know he claims to be a woman and personality wise that might be the case, but he still has male genetics which is the only way to prove beyond reasonable doubt whether you are a male or female organism.

    What do you think?

    Couldn't agree more...

I just wanted to check I wasn't being a horrible person for thinking this, but Joe Rogan puts it in absolute perspective. Fuck that shit. A transgender man-woman is not a woman. It's a transgender man-woman, which is fine, but it's not a woman.

  3. No exceptions. Keep it simple with sports.

You make sacrifices in life. I you try to switch genders you're going to have a harder time with sports.

  4. She shouldn't be able to compete with natural born females. There are major differences in muscle structure and athletic ability and that is the reason sports are divided. It isn't about gender it is about fair competition and someone with a male body and a vagina should still compete with men.
