THC is stored in fat and gives you a light buzz over a year after quitting, proof is personal experience

I've heard from different sources that THC is stored in the fat cells of your body and stays there long after you quit, and when you burn fat by exercising or fasting the THC is released into your bloodstream and travels to your brain and gives you a light buzz. I am completely convinced that this is true because before i even heard of this, when i was younger i got busted by my parents and quit for a while. About a month after i starting noticing that even though i hadn't smoked in a month or so i was feeling kind of buzzed. Not "high" i would say, not even "buzzed" really, but a really light buzz. Sort of how you feel when you smoke in the early day and by nighttime you're definitely not high anymore but you still sort of feel something, like a very light buzz because you haven't slept off the weed yet. About 2 years ago after a year of heavy smoking i quit weed for about a year. Just like before about a month or 2 into it i started to feel the buzz again, and it would get stronger when i worked out and you could definitely tell that it was the weed then, it almost felt like you'd hit a tiny toke. Even 10 months after i quit, when i went to the gym and burned some fat on the treadmill i could feel the weed buzz, which i definitely recognized back from the stoner days, it wasn't just in my head or some sort of placebo effect. After i quit that time i said fuck it and started smoking again for like 2 weeks and then quit again. Its been about 12 months now since i quit and i recently started trying to lose some extra weight that i put on. I've been working out and dieting and i feel that same light buzz all the fucking time now lol, even when i wake up in the morning but especially when i go to the gym and get on the treadmill, that's when you can really feel it, also when you get a really long time without eating. And this is a year after i quit and that THC is still in my system. I wonder if it would show up on a drug test, probably wouldnt be enough for a positive result but probably still show something, thankfully i dont have to worry about that anytime soon lol.

I know some of you might be skeptical but what i tell you is true, i wasn't feeling something else or just thinking i was feeling it, it was the weed in my system. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing and how long after.

  2. I dont doubt you but Ive heard of people getting a runners high from exercise. Could be that, could be the thc I have not idea. Pretty interesting though

  3. It's true that exercise can release THC into the bloodstream. However, the amount of body fat you would need for THC to stay in your system a year after usage isn't possible unless you weigh a metric ton

  4. Fat Albert smoked weed once and got high for life.

  5. I only weigh 160 lol

dude its so weird that you brought this up because ive been speculating about this too. i usually smoke around a g per night, and if i know i wont have enough for good pain relief the next day, sometimes i have a somewhat sugary snack before sleeping. My theory is that if i raise my blood sugar levels after [IMG], then [IMG]sleep, fat storage kicks in and some thc gets stored in this new fat. im a very active person and i can attest to my theory and what KushNMusic is talking about.
btw i weigh less than 160 and im 6'1

  7. Thc metabolites are stored in fat. Not thc. But I'm familiar with this feeling. Not sure there is a definitive answer to it. Possibly the release of these metabolites interacting with higher levels of endogenous endocannabinoids at receptor sites, since your body would produce more endocannabinoids sans smoking.

    Just my speculation.

  8. I've felt something like this. If smoke one day and don't smoke for a couple of days after, I still feel a veeerrrrry slight buzz. Like my joint pain doesn't bother me for a while and my mood is slightly elevated. But that third day, bam! Pain comes back and I get irritable. There have also been times where I will go without eating for a while (like if I'm super focused on something and forget to eat) and I get giddy. And I never had that prior to smoking. I chalked it up to going into ketosis and therefore releasing some of the metabolites. It's actually pretty cool.

  9. yeah lol for me honestly it became an incentive to work out haha, go hard and get a slight buzz ;) , plus youve been burning that fat

  10. I believe it but it could be placebo because youve got to smoke a ton in order for you to feel the thc burned from stored fat...

  11. Impossible after so long, sure in the short term but a year? Isn't it pretty well documented that it only is stored in fat for about a month(It is and this is backed up by piss tests). Also the fatter you are the more likely you are to catch such a buzz. There are euphoric feelings for drug users when they are about to acquire their drug of choice. Maybe that was what you felt.

Lol i know my story sounds like a bunch of BS its even kind of hard for me to believe, but im telling you what i was feeling was definitely not a placebo or some other feeling, it was definitely a weed buzz lol, and when i used to smoke i smoked VERY heavy and every single day, near the end i was only doing concentrates not even bud, so maybe thats why, could also just be my body chemistry, maybe i store thc more effectively than others, could be different for everyone?

  13. on the other hand,I know I definitely experienced runners high well before I ever even tried cannabis, which also is my "personal proof". To me runners high feels a lot like the initial feeling of & has much to do with what I really like about smoking a good Sativa now.
In my experience ........initial effects of smoking Sativa is like an easy shortcut & very similar to a natural runners high (less the sweat).
& that's good for me too.

  14. I'll never know...

  15. I often experienced this feeling the first year of smoking. When I smoked I felt a light buzz for several days after. Now this happens only after a heavy smoking night.

  16. There are chemicals in your body that can make you feel "buzzed" you probably just had a wee release of adrenalin.

Must be Placebo. There is no way there is any THC Metabolites stored in your fat 1 year after you last smoked.

  18. Runner's high. Endorphins and whatnot

  19. Ahahahahaha "My proof is anecdotal experience"

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  20. When you exercise your brain releases endorphin's, serotonin. Feel good brain chemicals.

I am sure that is what you were feeling.
