I have a 16 oz glass bottle of Hubert's lemonade, and I have a 4 inch pipe. I have all the tools required to bore a hole in the glass, but I was wondering if I could use my pipe as a stem/bowl. I was also wondering where to drill in the bottle so it would be a perfect fit for my bowl. Anyone have experience with making home made glass bongs?
if I were you I'd probably just drill a hole in the glass and keep making it bigger until it fits your stem and drill the hole around where it says original. I actually tried doing this but didn't have the right tools and glass went everywhere.. oh well
yep a drill bit and water. I have all that. I just need to figure out exactly where to bore the hole for my pipe and at what size
Update: I just realized I don't have drill bits made exclusively for glass, but I do have hollow bits for wood, and regular bits for metal applications. Hopefully this drilling doesn't crack or ruin the glass. This is going to be hard.
I have a hollow drill bit and I am about to buy another bottle in case the original one breaks . I will drill it tommorow and update you.
U need diamond drill bits go on Amazon they're like 10-20$ or go to lowes they're not too expensive and they're made for drilling into glass
Where some thick gloves when doing it, those bits are going to wreck that glass. Maybe check out some better designed bottles. That bottle will be difficult to get a good angle for your downstem.
you keep saying pipe, do you have a downstem or a pipe? becuase if you dont have a downstem then don't even bother until you get one.
