I'll get some photos up soon, sorry guys.. Sharing all this info is a huge priority for me, but sadly I've got a 1,000 things more important yet.

wow am i the first one to like and the first one in?! can't wait to watch this room blow up! you have to be drooling every morning with 4 of those things blasting on your babies.

i've been looking around at different lights and this room is a beauty... how big is that space, and what's up with 11/13, you done this before?

  3. yes, the 11/13 will help the plants transition to flower faster and save an hour on the power bill (not to mention an extra hour of life out of your lights). This is especially important if your flowering sativas, some strains are slower to transition on 12 hour schedules than others, or wont transition at all.. so the 11/13 is kind of a "let's make sure the plants know it's flower time." that extra hour doesn't do any good anyway..the plants can only take so much, they will start to look crinkly/curly when they've had enough light for the day.. pay attention to them, they'll let you know.

  4. yeah i only read shit when on my phone, maybe post on others threads but i guess that will stop

  5. I've never heard of looking at the plants to tell you when they have had enough light (crinkly/curly).....
...now i gotta stare at them even more...

  6. You can prevent gps uploading my Internet appears to be in Philadelphia.

Anyhow. Post some pics up when your comfortable would love to see the PLED

  7. Google "free VPN" or "onion anonymous web browser" they either use Tunneling or Sock connections to make you invisible ;)

  8. what are your thoughts on the crinkly leaves and time Dutty, how's that "time side-by-side" going so far?

  9. I will get them up soon Dutty. Shred, Let me know what you see..overwatering looks similar, honestly, so keep an eye out for that. I try to water close to the start or the end of a cycle to try and avoid confusion as to why they are looking sad... but the too much light is mainly a late stage veg issue, imo

  10. btw guys, its the meta information attached to images that concerns me...if you've ever uploaded an image taken on your phone, theres a real good chance the image location is included, unless you've turned that feature off specifically in your phone settings

  11. oh yea i think i was really on the "underwater side" of things this go around trying to keep the flies down and well trying not to overwater. I just started bloomin and trying to let them SIP more and keep them from drying out.

    great info

Pretty much what I would of said. Also could be signs of a ph problem starting to pop up.

    Solid advice OP

  13. Duty Pantry, & those who use Play. What do guys think of their coverage? I'm new, so don't really know if this is ok to ask here. Got a 10x12' room currently running HPS. Was thinking. Using the 1200's. Or 900's but am concerned about coverage. 12 600's were recommended by Plat, any input would be greatly appreciated? Thnx!

    fxckin spell check

  14. How many HPS watts are you currently running? Are you happy with your coverage, wish you had more/less?

Its a tough call.. I personally like the idea of p600's (instead of 900/1200) because they light density is less/sqft, so you can a lil more even coverage across a larger area. I had 4 x p900's in a 5x7 scrog and it was WAY TO SMALL of an area.. I had to raise my lights to 40"+ inches to stop torching them.. My first try with 4 x 900's I grew 15 x 6'-7' plants in a 10x12 area (oops, could barely get around them [IMG]) but if you keep them small and scrog them, you'll get some ridiculous (and I mean ridiculous) flowering as they are very focused compared to HID. Furthermore, the coverage's listed on the site are trust worthy for sure (at least for the p450, p900 and p1200, only ones I've tested) ... and the light intensity is frickin unbelievable!!!! Long story short, if you're not entirely sure you need 12, buy 6 of them, get them laid out and hung before see how many more you need.. The attached photos are 14" pots, 4x13" apart; and 10" pots 4x4" apart; using p600's for reference in a 10x12' area. (screenshots from a software app I wrote to help me plan my space)

I did some math on the p600's, turns out if you take a 10x12 area, and divide it by the core coverage of the p600's, you need 12 lights... If you used the Max Coverage for the p600, you'd only need about 6 lights. So, shoot for somewhere between that.. But let me say this, the Core Coverage area is not to be taken lightly.. its seriously high output!!!!!

  17. hadnt seen this on the app. I love my P600's

  18. My bad for taking so long. Didn't realize you guys got back to me, new to this forum stuff. Cool tho. Not sure if I quote you guys right but pushed multi-quote to respond to everyone who responded to me. Yeah, my ceiling height is only 7' so the 1200's prob would scorch my girls as you said. I currently run 6,600 watts of HPS, being x9 lights, 3 1000's in the middle & 6 600's on the edges of a 10'x12' area. I guess I'm happy with the coverage except one light is in a Phantom hood (similar to a Day-Star) & it doesn't give the spread I need, although it is intense but to hot. Setting up a New LED room n need all the help I can get so I appreciate you guys getting back to me. being new to LEDS, I was thinking of getting 3 differant kinds in Oct. & then deciding which to go with to build the room after using them. But the Plats are much more reasonably priced in comparison & it also seems that if I ever have to use the warranty that Plat will still be around & will honor such warr. Any suggestions? You guys seem to really like them. Kills me though that very similar lights are offered by the Chinese Manufactures at half price for almost every light I look at. Is that really the wrong way to go??? Doesn't seem like anyone ever talks about grows with them? People have written good things about the MARS tho. I need to yield as much quality crops as possible. I will start off with a few to see what's up n be safe. In your opinions, can I yield as much or more with the LEDS? Can't slack on quality or quantity as its my job now, broke my foot & am out of work for awhile. I'll be following these LED grows to learn from the guys using them now instead of just studying the websites as every light claims to be the best for the $$$. I wish you all the best for your grows!

the scorching was my fault, room temps crept into the low 90's and I had my 900's too close together for that temp..had I kept it nearer 75-80*, prob wouldn't have had any issues..the tops of some of my flowers turned pure white. All in all a 5x7 scrog for my second try ever yielded a field of nugs the size of my fist; Ill get some photos up today for you.

  20. How's it going dusty?
