I think one of the biggest issues besides obvious mental health issues is our media. When the media covers these stories the shine a light on the perpetrator and basically make them famous which is what a lot of these lunes are looking for. The networks should stop reporting on the shooter and their manifestos because they are playing into the shooters hand by doing so. I think if our media focused more on the victims of this tragedy and gave very basic info about the shooter then I think you would see a decrease over time in these kind of things. I don't think it would end random shootings, cause they will always happen but I think it's a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, people love to tune in to learn about the killer so ultimately our media will never stop reporting on it because they are profit whores, not journalists. I'm on a cruise right now and all I get is CNN. I haven't been able to hear about a single other thing going on in our country because there is like 24/7 coverage on this shit. It's like I get this was a tragedy but it can't be the only important thing happening in America right now.
