I have a small space, approximately 1.2ft x 2 ft where I wil be doing a scrog and I am wanting a small led light, around 100-200w. I Don't want to import one from overseas, id rather get one from my country. I have found this. It seems to be the cheapest deal around.

The price is 200 USD

This is the description. I think its a epistar

Latest LED Model. More power..More yield.
Next generation Intergrated COB (chip on board ) 32 x 3 watt LED's per reflector. Colour balanced to produce excellent vegetative and flowering growth. Blue, red, orange, green, I.V. & I.R. Epistar LED's
Cooling fans in rear. High grade sunflower heat soaks ensure long bulb life. Patented reflector. Very good lower canopy penetration.

2 Reflectors ( 32 x 3 watts per reflector ) can yield more than a 150w but less than a 250w HID bulb
Power Consumption 115 Watts

Bulb will last 9 years with only minimal degradation. No need to replace bulbs every year as with HID lights. Low heat output makes LED's ideal for hot conditions. Less heat to be exhausted means you can reduce the size of your exhaust fans and filters ( if using filters) Approx. 75% power usage compared to similar yielding HID lights. Capital payback time approx. 18 months if replacing standard HID grow lights. Several lights can be linked together like a daisy chain so minimises cord clutter. Complete with hanging wires.
2 year warranty

2. Just pick up a Mar Hydro 300w old style LED from eBay. They are $67.00 shipped to your front door in the USA. They use about 180 real watts and have a 1 yr warrenty.

3. that is pretty cheap. Seems way cheap. are the cheap ones not fake ones or something? I see they come from china.

im also just abit worried about bringing them in overseas. im abit paranoid about it

4. Not worth it just learn how to make one like I did. I even have a tutorial on how to make one. My lights kills Mars II lights all day. I'm not allowed on the Mars family thread because I made a video of me smashing a Mars Ii 900w on youtube. Why I smashed it is because they have a bad repair service my 900w diodes burnt out in 15 months and my 1200 9 months I repaired the two diodes on the 1200 and smashed the 900 because it had 6 diode out. This is what my lights look like

6. Don't really have the time to build a light. that's pretty loose though... destroying that light... I would be too worried about someone calling the police only to have them come and investigate you smashing a grow light

You just need to know what the fake ones look like and which vendors on eBay sell the real models. The old model Mars Hydro 300w LED is a nice starter LED fixture. For the grow area the size you have it will be great. Sure they come from China but then again name me something that doesn't these days. Again at $67.00 you can't beat them. The ebay vendor I purchase mine from ships from California.

As you gain experience and such you very well may want a larger grow area. I know I did and have expanded my grow cabinet. With a larger area you will want a bigger /better light. At that point you might want to consider a DIY project and make your own LED fixture. I myself have 2 Mars Hydro 300w old model LED fixtures in my 23"x35" grow cabinet but am gathering the components for a DIY fixture, granted it will cost a few hundred dollars to complete.

8. I'm in a medical marijuana state and I have a doctor's recommendation for a 100+ flowering plants and 12 lbs dried flower although I only grow 30 plants in different stages I just need the weight so if I have 5-6lbs they can't fuck with me.

9. Believe me, I do really want a big growing space but im restricted as it needs to be stealth. I think I will get a 300w setup off sara from here

10. You will not have stealth the fans on the 300 are very loud you'll see and I would suggest only one plant for that panel I use to own two of them. At one point I had 6 Mars panels at one time. But if you are new to this it will be ok I guess. Good luck

11. catfish,

I would go with your choice over the Mars. Why? well, it uses multichips, which are similar to COBs: Realstyles uses COBs his DIY panels.

Now, multichips are not as good as they appear, BUT, you should be able to buy proper Cree COBs later and replace the multichips. You can't do that with a Mars

12. what's your country? Or continent?
