1. Hello and welcome,
Im very excited to grow out this strain as this is the first time i have got my hands on Mephisto Genetics.
Il be starting this seedling under one of Grow Northern's HS1 series LED with a second unit to be added later.
The seedling when ready will be transplanted into the 55 Litre Alien Pro Single Bucket system.
Il be sure to make and add some Beneficial Tea from The Nutrient Company to avoid any root diseases later in the grow.

2. The seed was put into a glass of Water with Rhizotonic kept at Temp: 18-22C and PH: 5.5 and left to soak until the seed dropped to the bottom.
The seed was then planted into the Root Riot Cubes which were dipped in a solution of Rhizotonic and PH'd Water.
Right now im just waiting for this seedling to pop above ground and once her first set of true leaves are on show i will call it day one.

3. Week: 1 - Day: 1
I had a little bit of what you could call a noob hydro mistake( seeing as this is my first single DWC grow). Last time i started these seeds i failed to keep the root riot cubes moist enough and allowed them to dry out too much. Too much so that the root riot cubes compacted so densely that the tiny roots of the seedling couldnt make it through to the bottom of the cube. Now with that valuable lesson learned i hope there is no more miss-happenings and lets see what these seedling can do.

To stop the cubes from compacting this time round i have been misting them twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening just before i go to bed. Details of the solution for misting and the seeds environment are below if anyone is interested.

Seedling is very much so on the leggy side of things, probably due to me being silly and forgetting to move the Led a little closer.
I was very surprised to notice roots forming at the bottom of the root riot cube when i went to mist the plant this morning.
This seedling is barely 3 days old and compared to my last attempt on this run which i failed, that seedling didn't even have roots showing at day 7.

I'm very much so looking forward to getting this little one into the DWC bucket in about a week and a half.
Due to the good weather and the slightly higher temps i have been misting the seedling twice a day.

5. Your setup looks super professional, subbed in can't wait to see the end result. I'm guessing you'll get some super dank bud.

6. Thanks man i apprecaite the kind words.

Set up looks awesome super clean. Seems like you have everything dialed.
Are u worried about temps dropping down or what just wonder why u have a radiator heater in there?? Subbed btw really curios to see how your lady flowers under those leds

8. Hi Skitlz
It slightly colder where i live even in the summer so that is why i have a raiditor in the grow room just to keep temps right where they should be. Thanks for the sub

9. Subbed. Very nice setup. Looking forward to it.

10. Great setup looking forward to updates brother

11. Hello ice_cream_man
Thanks for the sub
Thanks Hopper602
Got any grows on the go yourself?

12. Nice operation! Looks like we will be running neck and neck for a photo finish of our little ladies! I'm subbed up!

No grows at the moment. Working on tuning my closet. Right now it's 115 degrees outside and closet temps hitting mid to high 80s so I'm avoiding starting anything right now. Contemplating growing peppers until end of summer.

14. High 80's is still do able. Find a resilient strain that doesn't mind high temps. You could also enrich your environment with C02.

15. I agree but I will be using hydro in a dwc and I'm not fighting the water temp battle lol. Instead just prob do kratky method peppers to pass the time. I'm low budget and discreet so c02 and chillers and portable AC can't be done. Have been looking at tower style smaller evap coolers since I don't have to exhaust them out and won't bring my humidity up too much since its always around 26-30% in this dry climate. Just looking for the right one at the right price.

Ah I understand, gl with the peppers

17. Thanks dethd3aler.
Yes its going to be a close one alright.

18. Week: 2 - Day: 8
The last few days i was very busy preparing the new home for the seedling. Let me show you what i was up to over the weekend.
First of all i had to prepare the growing substrates for use by washing and then conditioning for 2 or 3 days.

Here is the Hydrocorn clay pebbles after being washed and now getting conditioned in a solution of Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow and CANNA Rhizotonic.

And for the Grodan Rockwool cubes i gave the exact same treatment as the Hydrocorn clay pebbles.

After a couple of days soaking, both the Rockwool cubes and the Clay pebbles are ready for use.
So i lined the lid of the electric propagator with the clay pebbles.

The seedling is now ready to be transplanted into the Rockwool cube and then onto the clay pebbles base.

So today here she is after a successful transplant over the weekend.

19. I like your attention to detail man. Those root it cubes have done you proud, really nice root branching on that one. Why are you using rockwool though? And why the clay balls in the propagator lid? Aren't you going to use the net pot in your DWC?

20. Hi GoldGrower
Thanks for the comment dude.
I like to use rockwool after root it cubes as its a chnace to give the seedling a good feed while the roots still havent reached the water.
It also brakes up the process a little bit and from my experince this is the quickest way to get your roots into the water.
Il allow for the roots to brake throught the botoom of the rockwool cubes in search for more water.
Once the roots are long enough il simply lift the cubes away from the clay pebbles and then place them straight into the net pot.
Everone works differently but just stay watching my journal and you will see for yourself the benefits of doing it this way.
