This is my personal review of the Summit by Vapium. This vaporizer is extremely compact and ergonomic. I take it just about anywhere I go in the appropriate environment/situation. I purchased this Vaporizer about two weeks ago and do not regret my purchase for one second. The price is set at $150.00 but I received it with much more at $127.00 from a third party distributor - but being completely honest, the vaporizer pays for itself. The Summit offers a great flavor, really bringing out the taste depending on what strain you have. This vaporizer will vape all the ground bud until it is a black char without combustion (only if you wish, of course) proving that you were able to harness all of the THC within your bud.

The Summit is easily cleanable because it has a magnetic attaching mouth piece and chamber to easily remove and clean with a perfectly fitting pipe cleaner. I'd recommend that you clean the vaporizer ever couple sessions, or when you hear crackling from the resin buildup or the draw becomes much more difficult. But cleaning is no hassle and preferred in any vaporizer so that you get a fresh, quality taste every time. Some cons that I could discuss would be that the air in-take holes are situated adjacent to the charging port - make sure you do not accidentally cover these holes with your grip on the vaporizer. Another complaint I could assert would be that if vaping on high temperature settings, the rubber grip does not insulate the heat very well and it can become relatively hot - but note it is not necessary to get a comfortable grip on the vaporizer just by holding it on the rubber grip.

I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for an effective, portable, and efficient method to vaporizing. The vaporizer offers a vibration feature to let you know when it turns on, turns off, and is ready to produce vapor. The time it takes to reach a temperature always depends on the setting you have it set to, and the most effective temperature setting is around the fifth or sixth temperature setting, but you are able to get a great amount of vapor on all settings. It takes around 30-45 seconds on some of the highest settings to heat up, but I did notice that it may vary, especially when you are simply reheating it instead of turning it on (see what I mean below). It takes about an hour to charge, even on a low amp charging unit, and you are able to vape continuously for about an hour as well. This has been compared to the PAX vaporizer.

This is a conduction vaporizer and proves itself to vaporizer all of your bud evenly, but it never hurts to stir it after a while of use. The vaporizer also has an automatic shutoff feature, which many seem to complain about. This is here to conserve battery life, and I suggest using this feature as it may come in handy. I have found a simple way around it if you find this feature annoying. Simply pay a small amount of attention to the time you have been vaporizing on that particular session, and click the + or - button to lower the temperature, and proceed to re-adjust it to your desired setting, only taking maybe less than 10 seconds to reheat to your temperature. There is a whole lot to discuss about this crafty, "rugged" vaporizer and it has a small learning curve if you want to get the very best out of it

  2. Does anyone own this vaporizer?

  3. I believe there's a member in the Alfa advertorial that did a comparison of the two vapes.

  4. Subscribed. There is a thread on FC about this vape that a couple negative experiences just recently popped up.
Staying tuned to see how this turns out.

  5. I don't know about you guys but I find it hard to do the cleaning method shown in the instruction book

  6. My Kong II died and a local headshop recommended the summit. I liked the way it looked, and the reviews seemed okay. Well, it did not work out for me. I feel like I have to draw on it too hard to get any vapor. I also was disappointed with the heating chamber. It didn't seem to let me pack as much as my Kong did in the bowl, and it shut off too quick. Additionally, I had to do way more stirring the bowl to get everything burnt evenly than my old Kong. And here's where things went south. I am a daily toner who tokes at various times during the day and night. I'd only had it two weeks when it began to not turn on. I headed back to the head shop, and the guy plugged it in and it cut on. So they gave me Vapium Support info, and I took it back home. We thought it was just a fluke. When plugged in, the lights indicated it was fully charged, but it would only let you turn it on while plugged in. Well, in the end, after I received the instructions on the warranty process, I had it plugged in on my nightstand and it cut on by itself. I smelled something burning, and basically any rubber or plastic near the grip and heating chamber actually melted. I immediately unplugged it, waited for it to cool off, and sent it back to the company. They're sending me a replacement, but I do believe that I will need to buy a better vaporizer, or go online and order another Kong II.

  7. So, since this review has been posted, here are some of my thoughts.

The area where the lid comes off to put your herbs, the magnet chipped the plastic magnet restraint off, so I am having some issues with the lid and the units integrity. I've noticed the battery life has become awful, maybe unbearable. I charge it for more than an hour, to only receive maybe 2-3 lights full of a battery. I take it off the charger for less than an hour and the device is dead with no battery. I cannot seem to get 100% battery regardless anymore either.

The charging port is very temperamental. It takes a lot of wiggling and constant adjusting to ensure the unit is charging and all connections are secure.

  8. I do own one and its a beautiful piece, handy, discreet vaporiser minus the difficult draw and non replacable battery which to me is liking owning a disposable vaporiser in a few years.

  9. Again OP is 3 years old.
