    Hi All,

This is my second grow and I've changed from a DWC to a Bato bucket system so i'm still just learning the ropes.

What type of medium; soil or hydro? Hydro (bato bucket)
What brand and type of soil? Expanded clay
    Indoors or outdoors? Indoors
    What strain? Critical Kush (Clone)
How old are the plants? 4 weeks
What type of lights and how many watts? 4x 36w CFL's
How far from the lights? 40cm
What is your watering frequency and source of water? 15 mins every hour (15 mins every 3 hours at lights off)
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? Canna Classic Vega A+B
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? 5.6 - 6.4Ph 2.0EC
Water? 25lt Tap water with a starting EC of 0.2
What are the temps and humidity in the room? 18-22C 40-80%
What size pots? Standard Bato Buckets 11L
Any bugs? Look real close. Nope

These are clones, the bottom leaves are fine and a nice shade of green just like the mother plant but all the other leaves (mainly the middle) are a lime green with necrosis that starts at the tips and slowly moves towards the petiole.

I recently changed from Canna Aqua to Canna Vega last flush about 3 days ago to see if it would make a difference.

This issue started about 2 weeks ago when I went out of town for a few days and the PH went to about 5.4. I flushed and added 20ml of CAL-MAG and kept the PH at about 6.0 as it looked like a Mg deficiency but there's still no change in color.

I trimmed the problem fan leaves at last flush just to gauge if the issue was getting any worse so far the dying has stopped but the girls still look sick.

I've kept a grow diary so if there's anything else you need to know just ask.

    Thanks.

  2. you're watering them way too much, your ph should be at 5.8 and you have thrips or mites, most likely thrips by the looks of it.

  3. switch back to aqua. Soil nutes are heavy in N almost always

  4. I've looked at everything under and on top bigger than a spot of dust with a jewelers loop and nothing looks like a pest. Anyway I've given them a spray with pyrethrin and dropped the feed scheduled to once every 4 hours.

I'll see how everything goes and swap nutes back at next flush.

    Thanks for the help.

  5. Just thought I'd do the right thing and give an update in case someone has the same issue.

So I flushed the next day and went back to the Canna Aqua at 1.3 EC.
The PH has been a steady 5.8 since last flush.
I also started a daily dose of pythoff just in case.

Waited 1 week and things were still going downhill but it almost seemed faster, I was about to give everything up but then I discovered a discussion about "bad room syndrome".

I ended up moving everything out of the grow room and also stopped using the tent and the turnaround was almost instant.

It's been about 4 days since I moved everything out, i've trimmed most of the super bad fan leaves away (I left a few as a control) and new growth is looking nice and healthy. Growth has also sped up significantly and things are almost back to normal.

My old grow room had primer on the walls and ceiling but nothing else. Unless the tent was causing the issues as it was a cheap one of ebay but I thought the toxic tents were a thing of the past. Anyway i'm finally happy everything is back to normal and that I didn't give up.....
