  1. Hey there!

Let's be clear. This is my first outoor autoflower grow. I'm worried about this plants (pics below), do they look sick? Or is this just a little sunburn?
And in general, what do the plants look like?
They are Northern Ligths, Royal Haze and one Royal AK. All of them automatic.

Thanks for any comments, i'd be very grateful. [IMG]

Problem is you are using that awful native soil, it looks very compact and poor in nutrients!

Any store bought soil would be better than that, but if you want to grow some top notch buds try to mix your soil yourself, there are great threads in here that will help you pull 1 pounders in no time [IMG]

Your best bet would be to ammend your soil with teas (kelp, bat guano, etc...) because if you use just fertilizer in that soil, depending on the fertilizer, you will have micronutrient problems all the time

  5. Bad soil, no invasive pest management and other issues. My recommendation to you is to buy a book or two on growing cannabis. Learn how to grow before you try to grow. Would you go skydiving without learning how to? Of course not because you could fail and kills yourself. Well dames goes true for cannabis except you kill the plant. I suggest grow bibles written by either Ed Rothensals or Jorge Cervantes. I own both and still refresh my memory prior to each season. You only need two things to grow cannabis; knowledge and experience. Without either you are destined to fail or have issues. There's no way to get experience without growing so you must have knowledge on how to grow. The more you know the better things will go and you will have better results, understand when you have issues and how to fix them. It will result is less waged money, time and resources along with less stress and frustration.

As far as soil you should never skimp. Soil is the plants foundation and anything it needs should be readily available to the plant. The roots need a well draining soil that's fluffy and doesn't compact. The root not only need water and nutrients but also oxygen. By using perlite, lava rock, certain sand, peer moss, ect it will keep the soil from creating hard dirt clumps. With the right soil you could get away with just feeding water although feeding organic nutrients and teas will only benefit the plant. The better the soil the better the plant and harvest. Start with shirt soil you end with shit flowers.
