Are these LEDs any good?

  1. ill tell you why im asking, a facebook m8 got a money back offer for doing a journal with a LED setup. i had a look see and they offered me the same deal.

basically you pay $250 and they send you the LED - complete a journal and they give you the cash back.

im not completely with it right now, ive looked at the science but im blinded, im a HPS in soil guy. should i take this offer? i guess what im asking, is the LED worth the $250 should i somehow not manage the journal and is it worth swapping over to this LED.

i only have a small tent roughly 3'x5' but have a solistek 600W HPS at the moment. i would like to go LED in the future fir heat and energy issues, but havent done the homework.

any advice? the guys saying its a 600w hps equivalent

i don't want to post links but here is the specs.

The specs you listed are not making sense.

It states it uses CREE XPE in white, but also bridgelux in white as well? Also royal blue cree XPE is basically the same wave length as the Epistar 430-460nm that it also says it uses. This goes for all the colours listed basically. Cree XPE red is basically the same as Epistar 625-660nm, XPE red-orange is the same as Epistar 610-615nm, etc.

It kinda appears as if they are trying to make you think its (arguably) the higher end Cree chips when really they use Epistar and bridgelux. Not that Epistar and bridgelux are bad but they are trying to sell using the CREE name. That would be my biggest worry looking at what you posted!

  3. Just diy like I did my panels ran me about $700+ each to build and I'm using the new Cree CXB3590 COB's with Meanwell drivers that I can manually dim

  5. ye that's the link they gave me for the actual light http://www.ecosunlite.com/e_productshow/?47-ESL-CREE-CX-LED-10-47.html

i think they are legit, do a journal and get the cash back etc, i just dont know anything about LED and want to make sure its a good light - its a great price!

i bough a Chinese motorcycle a few years ago, it quickly fell apart on me. when i done my homework late - i saw it was a bag of shite! i thought it best to ask in here before the fact this time - i kinda need to make a decision quickly or they will move on to someone else, limited offer etc (or pressure sale)

if you guys can say its a good light, ill probably take the deal!

thanks guys, i knew GC was the place to ask!

  6. As long as you trust them to get the money back to you I would definitely give it a go!

There are better panels out there but for a money back journal it'd be worth it IMO!

They seem to be using solid hardware as far as drivers and LED diodes go. 3yr service warranty. and you can't beat the cash back deal with a baseball bat.

by the way, if you do a grow journal with that light, post a link here. would love to check it out :)

  8. thanks for the info guys, i think ill take the offer ;)
