    Good news.

  2. Good news indeed!!!!

Now all we need is a win in the case regarding the government forcing medical patients to buy from licensed producers at inflated prices. Many Medical users could never afford those prices sold per gram due to being on disability or reduced incomes because of their ailments. By allowing extracts and edibles we should get rid of the MMPR completely and go back to the MMAR rules that allow patients to grow their own medicine and use how they want by choice.

The Harper government loses YET again. Heave Steve 2015!!

  3. Heave Steve 2015, I like it!

"Frankly, I'm outraged by the Supreme Court," said Health Minister Rona Ambrose.
"Let's remember, there's only one authority in Canada that has the authority and the expertise to make a drug into a medicine and that's Health Canada," she said during a press conference.
"Marijuana has never gone through the regulatory approval process at Health Canada, which of course, requires a rigorous safety review and clinical trials with scientific evidence."

They talk of expertise, safety and clinical trials yet this is the same government that fires scientists and researchers. Bunch of hypocrites.

"I'm not following this line of reasoning at all."

  7. Ya I watched it all before. When I heard them addressing the crown I knew this was going to be a slam dunk decision.

  8. About time, I'm mean they expect children who need this medicine to roll up a joint and smoke it?  Luckily the parents know this is stupid and have been breaking the law to give their children the right form of medicine.

One more step forward for us Canadians.

  9. Too true.
Only issue now is allowing medical users old and new to continue to grow their own so they can afford it because we all know that concentrates, edibles etc. take more product to make which is not affordable through LP's except to the rich.

Imagine the cost of making RSO and anything similar to Charlotte's Web at LP prices per gram. It's criminal. A pound at those prices would be between $3580-4480 when you can get it off the street for between $1700-2200. Problem with buying off the street is it is difficult to get specific strains also it makes you a criminal in the "laws" eyes.

  10. By no means is it even close to a perfect system, I am even skeptical that we will ever be there.  The next big game changer will be the next federal election on October 19th.  Liberals are the underdog but with enough support, advertising and activism I feel like we have a shot.

Only time will tell, until then, I guess I have to continue breaking federal laws.

  11. Problem with the Liberals (heck any elected government) unfortunately will mean taxing the plant (driving up costs). Hopefully they see compassion for sick/disabled Canadians and will still allow medical users to grow their own. Either that or put MMJ under the health care act and cover the costs just like they do for prescription meds (won't happen because far too many taxpayers still look at Cannabis as just a way to get high and will not want to have it covered because of that).

The LP's were pretty much set up to make the rich richer on the backs of the most needy.

  12. Yes this is true, but tbh if i could buy exactly what I want from a store then I would pay extra, rather then get whatever my guy has availible.  Besides just because the medical field is growing and a potential recreational market I feel like the black market will set the bar.  Since I get my stuff for $7/gram I would likely get the majority of my stuff on the black market.  But maybe every once in a while go pick up some top shelf to treat myself.

  13. Mayor Robertson is against the SCC ruling and wants to exclude concentrates from the permitting process that's in the works at city hall.  He kinda suprized me when he said that and hopefully he doesn't really mean it, just trying to keep the Feds in the dark or unprovoked.

What a fucking stupid and senseless uphill battle.  At least it's a battle, tho.  Could be worse, could be a masacre!

  14. ^^^^
Ya but I believe lowly Mayors can't really go against SCoC rulings can they?

    They are just Mayors afterall.

  15. LP's will never be able to keep up with demand of a recreational market since they have proven they can't even keep up with the medical. I think it will eventually be dispensaries in Ontario dealing with their own product and wholesaler's. Problem is the government will insist on inspections and heavy regulations that won't be able to afford said regulators and inspectors.

It will be interesting to see what the next couple of years have in store for us.

  16. doesn't matter. Federal law overrides municipal law. If he's got a problem, he can take it to the SCoC

  17. i wouldn't vote for the liberals, they aren't looking so good in pre polls. Considering Justin helped harper push c-51 in the senate. Our federal liberal party is more of a conservative lite party. Ever since paul martin left politics.

I would vote NDP if i were you, they lean more left on many issues. Like, they want to abolish the senate, kill c-51, and decriminalize marijuana and see where it goes. Personally I think mulcair just calls for decriminalization, because he want's to avoid the extreme negative attention justin got when he announced for legalization. I'm sure he'd legalize it quicker than you think.

So far the SCoC has made cannabis legal by forcing health canada to make the MMAR in 2001, they granted the temporary injunction to grow for previous MMAR patients after the MMPR was created in 2014, and now they've allowed multiple forms of cannabis.

I got a good feeling about the growing rights.

  18.
He must know that, wonder why he said what he said?

  19. because he's got bark but no bite.

  20. Grandstanding and playing up to what he thinks is his constituents.
