This is the beginning of my perpetual playhouse!

A little back story. I've been growing on and off for the past year and half. The bug bit me hard and I enjoy the growing of, just as much as the smoking of this beautiful plant. In that time I've completed three stealth armoire grows. First one was one CannaVenture Cookie Wreck (GSC x Trainwreck)

Second was one Jack's Dawg (Jack's Cleaner x Space Dawg) seeds from a friend.

and the latest was one Super Silver Haze and one OG Kush from ILGM.

I've done a lot of learning throughout those grows. Plenty of mistakes, but I've gotten better results each time and I feel I'm ready to go perpetual! I'm busting out of my cabinet!
I've been busy here and there over the last month building the garden playhouse of my dreams.

I've just finished up the veg cab and after some organization will hang the lights!
Enough back story. Here's the rundown.
    Lights:
    Seedlings/Clones- 2' 4 bulb T5
Veg: 150 watt TruLite full spectrum LED
Flower: Two, eventually three, 400W Mars II LEDs (170-200 watts draw a piece)
I still have to buy these, but I have what I need to get vegging!
    Ventilation:
I am starting with my 4" hydrofarm exhaust with comparable cfm 4" carbon filter and the various clip on fans. But I will eventually need wall mounted oscillating fans, a 6" exhaust fan and carbon filter for the flower room.
    Medium:
FFOF with crushed grow stones (garden center was out of perlite) and extra worm castings.
Start in Solos, Veg in 3gals and Flower in 7 or 10gals.
    Nutes:
Fox Farms Grow Big, FF Tiger Bloom and FF Big Bloom, SuperThrive, Bionicare CalMag, Epsom Salts, pH up and down.
    Genetics:
I'm expecting seedlings soon on 3 feminized OG Kush from ILGM.
And somewhere in the mail I have 3 feminized 'Shark Attack' (Skunk #1 x White Widow) from Dinafem Seeds, 3 feminized 'Sour Diesel #2' from Humbolt Seed Organization! With freebies to boot!

I'm extremely excited about the order from Attitude, but I can't wait to get going, so in classic 'Me fashion' I've put the cart in front of the horse and started germinating some OG Kush seeds.

As you can see, the build is still very much a build, but it's also a grow now! Lol
Things will move pretty slowly at first, but hopefully we can all learn a thing or two, and I gain the skills to tend the coveted perpetual garden of my dreams!

  2. I'm First!

I got the lazyboy Recliner out, an getting comfy for the ride!!

  3. Can't wait to see it all up and running Nifty!

  4. Here we go now it gets interesting. I semi finished my room too but forgot to take pics :) I'll be back on site Thursday. What are the final dimensions of your rooms nifty?

  5. Yes'ir!

I know the feeling! But I need to keep reminding myself about the construction that still needs to get done!

The flower room is 43" wide, 69.5" long and has a 7ft ceiling. The veg cab is 33" deep, 42" wide and 54ish" tall.

  6. The new space has life!

I blew out all the dust from the innards of the LED and hung it up.

I did some other organizing and cord hanging today and checked on the outdoor ladies. I'm thinking of throwing up a thread over in the outdoor section, but I was wondering what experience or thoughts anyone had on taking clones from outdoor plants and bringing them indoors. I'm going to do some cloning research and provably take a few.
This one was super cropped by my idiot dog.

  7. Took 3 clones today. 2 off the OGK and one off the SSH. It'll be nice giving these strains a proper run since I had to harvest so early last time.

I also wanted to check out my temps today because it's well over 90 degrees out. Cool and comfortable 78 degrees in the veg cab! The AC fan stayed in low the majority of the time I was in there. So, there's still throttle left, so to speak. I can't wait to get flowerin'!
Now I'm gonna go mow my lawn on the hottest hour of the day.

  8. I checked on the little ones today. The one OGK seedling is doing great! I think the other two never popped. They either got watered in too deep, or didn't like the pH 8.5 water I watered them in with. That's what I get for being lazy and in a hurry. I checked it after the one that did pop started making a sour face. I refilled the tray with pH 6.5 water and lightly flushed out the seedling when I watered in the clones.
Now, I've never seriously cloned before, so I'm probably doing or wrong in five different ways. But, I'm wondering how long I should leave them in the bags? Everything looks healthy enough!

  9. The domes are needed to keep moisture in since clones have no roots. As soon as they have established some roots then the dome isn't needed. Easy way to tell us if u take the dome off and after 10-20 min the clone hasn't dropped than it doesn't need the dome. That's just the way I do it. :)

  10. This is awesome man! Grow box of my dreams haha. Subbed up forsure

  11. I'm really hoping the "socks" that I ordered get here today!

I checked on the seedling and took the bags off the clones yesterday. I don't think the clones liked getting thrown straight into FFOF, but I think they'll live. I'll grab some starter cubes for next time and for the new seedlings. This seedling is showing a bit of nute burn on the edges too. Oops. Learning.

  12. Cool journal I'm in.

  13. I did the same thing. Didn't think about how "hot" the soil was. Lesson learned.

  14. Did they live?
    Thanks! Stick around.

  15. oh yeah, they are the ones I'm currently growing. Only a few more weeks! This is my Strawberry Blue. 1434395328172.jpg

  16. What to germinate first?...
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1434403818.479533.jpg
I think I'm going to do one Dinafem Shark Attack (fem), one H.S.O. Sour Diesel #2 (fem) and either the Dinafem White Widow (fem) or the Dinafem Original Amnesia (fem). Just get a buncha strains veggin' and I'll flower the 52-55 day flowering SA with any OGK I have, pending my clones' survival. Meanwhile the Diesel and the WW or Amnesia will veg longer for a more proper harvest. And I'll be calmed down with bud in my jars.
    Souuund gewd?!

  17. Just a thought/problem I ran into is when going with multiple strains is when u feed u might have to adjust accordingly and I know for myself I want to keep the strains I have "around" so I end up having to clone everything at least twice (just incase one dies) but if your going just from seed to harvest and aren't worried about running it again then plant them all :) if not just be sure to LABEL EVERYThiNG lol it's easy to lose track of what's what.

Solid advice. I definitely want to keep good genetics around and take clones!

  19. Been there as well Sosa great advice

  20. I'm gonna pull up a seat and watch your journey. I'll be honest I'm jealous of your build that's gonna be nice when it's done
