  3. It looks like you have the right idea... just keep pulling that top over and getting light to those bottom nodes...We want to reroute auxins to the lower tips.

To see mine from the beginning check out my journal in my sig...

This one here is 28 days from seed in coco... LST and am looking at 9 tops.

  5. what I do is once im at like 6-8 nodes I take the main stem and create a C shape in it,essentially bending it over without snapping branches, and tying it tight..(this cuts down on vertical growth BIG TiME!) so once it veg's for another week or so, start fimming, (Fuck I Missed.- cutting 80% of newest growth at top off..) makes plant create 4 or more tops and gives it a more bushy character.. ok so now the main stem looks like a C, but all the branches created from fimming were all tied down seperatly too. essentially opening up my girl so all the inside gets great light.. looking almost like a "hole in the middle" surrounded by 5 tops.. im by no means an expert. but I have a few under my belt, and each time I improve, its kinda common sense. the whole process, how can I make my plant less visible, get a higher yield, and make sure all "sides" (including the middle) receive adequate light.. its fun watching the buds fatten and get all resin-y. the trip is jus as fun if not more fun then the destination ;)

I bend my main stem into a C, then FIM, essentially what I get is a bushier, "opened up" plant with a "hole in the middle surrounded by main branches" that gets flooded with light to every single leaf inside n out.. so far great results, I suggest everyone grow it like that, soon as its strong enough to tie, drill 2 holes in the side top of plant-pot, apply string (twine in my case) and literally bend the mainstem down and use the string to "pull" the bottom part of stem further out, creating a bent over c-shaped plant.. the main root becomes SOO strong this way, if I look at stem in dirt, I can jus tell the root system is so healthy awesome, not only does bending provide light to sides that normally wouldn't, it helps control vertical growth, and bush it out more, jus don't FIM too many times, iv heard of people going over board and yielding ALOT but scrawny buds. im excited to report my second project after this one is looking nice, its an obv indica dominate, while the current one flowering is for sure A LIL more sativa dom.. happy growing, be safe, be smart, be stoned. 7. Looks great!

  8. just LSTd my only indica of the season today! first I fimmed the newest growth, than I drill 2 holes about n inch apart on top rim of pot..insert string from outside into first hole, slip the string around the middle of a node (so no potential branch sites are blocked) n pull the other side thru the inside of the hole.. surgeons knot, viola! if done early, by days end shell look straight up above the string, reaching for the light, straight as can be :) a C or S shape, ok so my technique is once the fimmed branches grow out, I tie em all down individually, allowing the inside middle of her to receive just as much light as top kolas, I promise the yield is higher if done right, than not doing it with the same strain under the EXACT same lighting conditions, etc.. :) peace
