X-MAX V2 PRO review

  1. Hey everybody. It's been 2 weeks since I got my first vape, since that I haven't rolled a single joint. A friend of me has a Flowermate v5.0s and the Arizer Solo and I've used both many times so I can make an unbiased comparison.
First of all some info about me: been smoking weed for 6 years, used to be a heavy toker but nowadays I only smoke 2-5 grams a week Since I tried my friend's Fm and Solo I fell in love with vapes. I'm on a budget nowadays so I couldn't really afford an Arizer product, I was going to purchase the Flowermate as it is well known and popular but I came across the XMAX and as a curious person I contacted the manufacturer to ask about their product.
They had many previous versions of the XMAX V2, the first one got released early this year: that version had pretty bad battery life, an annoying 3 min cutoff timer, a pretty bad mouthpiece without a filter in it, and an open airpath (who knows what else you are inhaling). Not too promising eh? But since that they've been listening to feedback and made many improvements. So here comes the review of the latest version.
The X-MAX V2 Pro promises to be a true vaporizer with multiple heat settings, it's able to handle dry herb wax and oils also. It has a ceramic chamber and it has space for like 0.3grams of weed. They've improved the airpath, it's closed now so smoking out of the product doesn't give any foul taste like most cheap vapes do. Have to add that I did clean it properly with iso alcohol and went through a few burnoffs before first use. The unit I got has a 5 min cutoff timer and that can still be annoying for a few but for myself, I found out that If i'm using it alone 5 mins is just around the right time to get high, and I'm still able to use the same bowl for an other session later on. It has 5 heat options: 356, 374, 392, 410 and 428F. I prefer to use it on 374 or 392 as above that the vapor & mouthpiece can get uncomfortably hot (they just released a glass mouthpiece and a bong adaptor for it, can't wait to get them!). The chamber is very close to the mouthpiece so the vapor doesn't have any way to cool down, especially as the vaporizer's body is made of some kind of metal which makes it sturdy but also pretty hot. The vapor it makes is very good quality, even if you use it on the highest temperature setting the herb doesn't get burnt at all but gets heavily vaporized. The product doesn't need a lot of maintenance and it's also very easy to clean. It has a changable 18650 battery like a lot of ecigs so you don't have to be afraid about the battery dying on you as it's easy to buy even better ones than the vaporizer comes with.
    In short
    Pros:
    -great vapor ammount and quality
-sturdy, looks and feels high quality
    -has a changable battery
    -very cheap

    Cons:
    -vapor can get hot
-the metal body can get hot
-the basic rubberish mouthpiece can get hot
    -still pretty bad battery life
-bit too big, doesn't fit good in an avarage pocket, better for home use

Compared to the FM it makes better vapor ,similar to the Solo, but the FM is smaller, doesn't get nearly as hot and fits in a pocket better. If you are looking for the best budget vape for home use, i'm pretty sure its the XMAX. If you want to use it mainly outside, go with the FM.
If you want to get an XMAX I highly recommend also it's a lot cheaper compared to a lot of online shops. I got mine for 30$+20$shipping as I live in middle-EU.
