Well this is my 3rd plant, 2nd grow and currently I've run into problems this time around. The problem is she was growing healthy for 3 days now and I came home and she was falling over. I buried her some more to straighten out the stem but now it looks as if I lst'd her. Any one know what could cause this? The same them happen to my regular afghan seedling also but that one looked worst. I'm using the same soil I used for my last grow and unlike my last grow i am controlling ph levels of water early on. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Looks like it's stretching a bit, make sure all of the bulbs are 1-3 inches away from the leaves. How often do you water?
I'll try to put lights closer and see if that helps and I watered a little 2 days ago and a little more yesterday roughly 24hrs ago altogether a Poland spring bottle of water Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Only one water bottle? Saturate all of the soil with 1-2 gallons until it begins to drain from the bottom, every 2-3 days. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. If you notice the soil is still wet 1-2 inches below the top of the soil, wait a day.
I watered the soil prior to planting so there's a good weigh on the bucket overall. I just lowered the lights I had 1 300w equivalent 6500k bulb and 2 100w equivalent 2700k bulbs but I just took 1 100w out until she starts to get bigger then I plan on adding the other 6 100w cfl's I have Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum (Edit) I have the watering technique down
The more light the merrier, it always helps. I'd use em all now, if you can. Do you have a fan blowing on the plant?
I plan on adding a lot more soon, would it really benefit from more light at this stage? And I had the fan blowing over but I just moved it to blow gently on it to attempt to strengthen the stem Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I'll give it a try, thanks for the help. Here's an update her leaves are droopy and the edges are curling up and they look a little pale im guessing it could be heat or nute burn? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Here's an update on here I came to the conclusion heat stress is the problems at the moment she seems to be fighting through it but temps keep hitting the 90s only during the day with the fan on full blast Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Try setting your 6 hours of darkness to the hottest part of the day. I'm going through the same thing, hitting 95 where I live
Sounds like a good idea I need to invest in a timer to do it though, thanks. Update The west coast og is the oldest and is really short and bushy any ideas to make it stretch? The lower leaves aren't getting enough light. NL is the oldest wasn't sure if auto or fem but I'm pretty sure it's fem it's just growing bigger and bigger. My current set up is 8 100w cfl 2700k and 1 300w cfl 6500k That's my perlite grow with a random bag seed I just added a little soil to the top today from the pic it looks bad but it's actually doing pretty good Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
You can raise the light to get it to stretch for the light, but I don't recommend doing that. Nothing wrong with a bush. Look into LSTing if you need better light penetration. Looking good man
I tried to lst it didn't work that great because of the thick stem but now it seems like there's a high area covered by leaves not getting enough light Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
UPDATE T5 light coming in the mail next week. West coast og auto- still bushy not really getting light in the inside other than that she gets more frosty after every watering. Northern lights- Doing excellent imo. Getting ready to make a few clones from it (first time cloning) it's growing huge with no topping or lst and i plan on letting it keep growing and grow clones to flower. Bag seed- well it's growing...slowly, in perlite I just topped it today It's really just an experiment the seed came from a bag of really bad "reg" Temps- can't do anything about it my room is naturally humid but the fan has always been on the whole grow they are surviving the 80-90 degree temps. Problem!!! Going on vacation for 10-11 days im getting a timer for the lights BUT watering.. How do I deal with the issue of not being home to water? I'm leaving in 2 weeks so I need a solution fast Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
As sexy as it is its also silly go to your local medical store get a iv bag and the hose they will drip enough to water your plants I use one myself but they will last u about only 6 days then bags bone dry plants have about 2 days to go
Are those items on Amazon? Also can you show me a picture of how you have it set up? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

All you do is hang them up by a hook and u fill them up top and u just place the hose in the bucket and let the water trickle in and bam your done u set the flow by the ball u can have one bag drip so slow that be nuts were literally it gets like an an ounce every day and your water just set it higher I'll send pics when I get home
Don't think I'm lazy it's just smart then I just have to check on my plants every 8 days less bacteria gets in and best of all your can even set them up on a timer so it does everything to stop and start ever so often so u can add other bags and not make them kick on for longer the longest I have went without checking on. A plant is 30 days
