Growing Medium:               Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil & Hydro (Eventually)
    Area:                                 12'x16' & 10'x10'
Lighting:                             Current Large Room - 5,200w HID, 350w Advanced LED. Small Room: 4,000w HID
Starting Strain (clones):     Agent Orange, Grand Daddy Purp, AppleJack
Starting Strains (seed):      Blue Kush x2, Critical Kush x2, Incredible Bulk x2, 2 Vast 2 Fast, Afghani, Pineapple Chunk,
Possible Strains to Come: Super Silver Haze, Great White Shark, Strawberry Blue, Critical Sensi Star, Deep Cheese, Dinafem White Widow,
    Veg Time:                           2.5-4 weeks
    Flower Time:                      +/- 49 to 65 days
    Room Conditions:              75 F, 50% humidity
    Future Room Plans:           CO2 Burner

The current game plan started off with 6 clones, currently in the cloner, 6 more plants from seed into soil with the intention on taking clones off these 6 down the road. Every one-two weeks we will start germinating 6 more seeds to be transplanted into soil until cuttings can be taken from the first set of plants to be grown with different types of hydro methods (drip buckets, individual DWC buckets, RDWC, etc).
The long term objective is to finish 4-8 plants every 2 weeks, comparable to a sea of green but slightly larger plants. I am not trying to grow 1 ounce plants, but vegging long enough for 2-4 oz a plant hopefully.

Pictures are from the most recent update, some of the starting information was from a few weeks ago so some of it might not make sense as I've adjusted my gameplan slightly for the sake of success rates and never having done hydro.  Started the first batch of seeds on 4/27/15.   No hydro has been put into play yet but I am popping a seed into some rockwool to try an entire cycle in a 6" or 8" rockwool cube and eventually hoping to do a bubble bucket or a Titan Ebb and Flo.

    Enjoy.

Lookin' great man. This will be an awesome Journal to follow, so many strains and so much light! :)

  3. Looks like you have some good genetics on your hands friend!

    WELCOME TO THE CITY!

  4. Gracias good sir.  Glad to be a part of it already with some other good individuals.  I won't let you guys down, I promise.  [IMG]

I'm grabbing a seat here up front. I got a 3.5 gram j rolled, & firing it up, blast-OFF! :metal:

  7. SICK. I'm subbed. I'm no pro, but I'll be lurkin' and learnin' ...

  8. Looks good man, quite the set up.  Subbed and following along.

  9. So Steve what's your main goal?

  10. Its just a suggestion but maybe some of these guys can introduce you to High Brix soil method.  You can reuse your soil each grow so you save money on the soil over time.  Many have proven it to be better than hydro with the THC % and yields.

  11. Damn skippy guys.

  12. Morning steve

Morning Dutty.  Been busy on a project for work and haven't had time much yesterday or this morning.   I have a few main goals, outside of secondary income (or donations, if you'd rather, lol) one of my main goals this grow is to dial in my environment perfectly.  CO2, no heavy fluctuation of temps, RH on point and the whole nine yards  I'm relatively close but it still needs a good amount of tweaking and then will need a complete change again when I get a CO2 burner.  My second big one is utilizing my light to it's full potential.  I realized that 6,000 watts in a room is awesome but if I'm only pulling .25 or .3 grams/watt  I'm just spending a lot of extra money on lights I probably don't need and/or have to learn to train my plants better.  This is an entirely different take on growing compared to my last grow where I was at the mercy of having a second room to put the plants that were vegging and the autoflowers on 18/6 but it will be interesting to see how I handle everything.  Would love to pull 1-2 pounds every 2 weeks finishing 4-8 plants and realistically if I manage 2-4 ounces per plant I'll easily hit a pound with 8 plants.  Once I get my veg times down to a science and I can guarantee at least the 2-4 I want then I just have to work on my plant cycle timing.

I really want to try high brix soil but I don't have an area that I'm able to cook everything up at the moment and given the current circumstances of my growing partner it's just been slightly a struggle lately.  Eventually though and then I'll be calling on many of you guys.

How's everyone's day going?   6 more seeds popped last night.

  14. Yeah. If you need any help man just shout.

For sure man.  I've always found it interesting but just no area to do it.   I feel I'm a little late cooking stuff up anyways but maybe I could do it on my property I have.  Just trying not to add anything else to my list of things to do/try until I keep some stuff rolling steady.

I'm glad everyone else is having luck with it though!  I'll jump on board eventually.

Forums are pretty quiet tonight.  Do people have lives on a Saturday or something around here?  LOL

  16. It's never to late to cook soil lol but no rush

  17. Having an area to cook can be challenging if your limited to space. This time of the year you have more options.

I made chicken with a Qp of butter and a tenderloin the same my Saturday night was snoring on my couch.

    Good morning/afternoon to everyone.

Going to knock out transplanting a few of the Dixie cup plants today and then the final transplant of the Pineapple Chunk to it's #7 where it will go into flower in the next week.

Tore that Advanced LED apart with my buddies yesterday and have a game plan for building our own but it's going to take some time.  One friend has to finish building his CNC machine that will do a lot of the work for us so he's two weeks out on that. We also built a business idea to take a stab into building our own lighting controllers, CO2 controllers, humidity and temperature controllers and the whole shebang but throw some of our own tweaks in there to make it super easy to use and stand out above the rest.  Going to run some prototype builds in the next month or so once his CNC is done and we can mill out all the parts we need.  It'll be a long term thing but just kicked it around and realized we could make some pretty awesome stuff between the three of us.

The Advanced panels are done up pretty dang nice between the aluminum PCB board and their wiring job.  Always something to tweak and make better though.

  19. Just curious about how much does your bud have in the CNc machine I was looking to buy one last year to make soft plastic bait molds once I find a bigger place or move to the farm I am gonna get my soft plastic business back up and running

After he buys his last attachment for his 4th and 5th axis he said around $1,500 I believe but I also never asked what he might have acquired for cheap or free.  The company he's an intern/tech for deals with some of the materials he needed and they give him a bunch of scrap for free but I'm unaware if he actually used any available pieces from them or only bought new. To buy a CNC of the same level he has he said would cost anywhere from ~$5,000 on up which might give you an idea, I have no clue.   It will do 3 axis milling on a 20x20x12 space and for 4th and 5th axis it'll drop down to like 12x12x6 or something of the sort but big enough for the parts he's producing for his customer base.  He also designed his own 3D printer (which is badass, print size and speed are crazy compared to any I've ever seen) and in the next few months starting to sell kits of it, which I think you should look at if you are into soft plastics. He bought a cheap printing kit, printed off new parts totally revised it and then built a brand new printer that's decked to the tee. They are to compete with some top dollar 3D printers for a fraction of the cost.  He's in the works of completing his public info for that.  I'll keep you posted if you'd like and check with him if he has an e-mail that people can touch base with him on.
