HELP Sick Clone in Need of Assistance

  1. Hey guys! New to the forum! May as well start off by stating that I'm a newbie, but anxious as hell to learn. Anyways..

I have a clone that I got about 8 days ago planted in a 25 gallon smart pot with fox farm ocean forest. This guy is outdoors and is receiving a very good amount of sunlight as of the last few days; the clouds have finally dissipated! I've fed this guy once with General Organics GO box at 1/4 strength, and some nutrients I even did 1/6 or 1/8, just to introduce them.

So that's the general information. But I really want to stress that the leaves that are pictured were showing these signs BEFORE even getting her planted. It seems to be progressing so this is why I'm worried.

I'm having a hard time pinning down what it could be because I have an older leaf that is progressively turning yellow and drawing, as well as some newer leafs that are yellow around the edges and curling upwards. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please be specific for me so I can act fast!

    Thanks guys.

FYI (I'm sure you already know): The white stuff is food grade diatomaceous earth. Had early signs of mights almost right out of the door once planting. It's working great.

  3. I have plants 2 foot tall and bushy as fuck in FoxFARM Ocean Forest. No leaves have died on the plants...Ever...Even during the marble size hail storm.

My point is. FFOF has so much nutes in it its considered a "hot" soil and your adding more? Let that plant get vigorous and huge before you give i anything but tap water. If you get bottled or filtered water your striping need micro nutes out.

  4. Thanks for your reply. Yeah I used a very scaled back run of the General Organics Nute box because of the appearance of deficiencies. I'll stick to tap water for a while.

  5. you have to understand as well that sometimes you can overfert with one type of nutrient and end up locking out another.

I had a potassium deficiency because of a N-tox problem. The n-tox problem was only slightly apparent but the K deficiency is what I could easily identify.

You also have an outdoor plant... are you using preventatives to ensure pests aren't getting to it?
Is there a cage around it to prevent animals from getting to it?

also what's the temps like at night and during the day?
P.S. are you PHing your water? That's the first thing I would look at before diagnosing deficiencies or toxicities.

Bad PH can lock you out of a number of essential nutrients.
