Medical Card

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by kinchin, May 29, 2015.

  1. So, I have recently moved to California from Texas, and I am living with my mom until I can afford to go off on my own. I pay her for all of my share of the bills, so her name is on the bills. I am looking into getting a medical card, and I need a proof of residency in order to get one. If I bring in one of her bills, and my birth certificate to prove she's my mom, will I be able to get one?

  2. Why not just get some state ID with the address on it? Seems more legit. No clue if your way will work man. I'm a medical patient from MI

get on leafly and start calling doctor's offices and asking.

they will probably want an ID.

  4. There's a place in San Francisco that requires i.d. OR proof of residency. So I wanted to save the money and just bring in proof of residency.

  5. After you get your script, without an id how are you going to prove you are you.

  6. I mean, I still have my texas i.d., but I also have other forms of i.d.

  7. Also, I just looked up the dispensaries around me, and they didn't say anything about providing other identification other than the medical card that I want to get. The medical card will have a picture of me, my name, and a verification code/number that will be the proof.

  8. A lot of the ones I've been to require the full recommendation plus photo ID the first time and then the MMJ card everytime after that is fine.

I imagine you should be alright if you can get a doctor to take the proof of residency and a club to take the Texas ID. Good luck.
