Dogs who top plants

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by tinman87, May 27, 2015.

  1. My dog got my top growth today. All of it. It had just reached the stretch and was beginning to show preflowers. Should I toss the chick or continue to force flower? What can I expect as far as my top cola now? Please, any help at all is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks all!

  2. Get rid of the dog.[IMG]

  3. she really FIMed it she didn't actually top it but is there anyway I can still get a good top cola or is all bud growth going to stop since it was injured during the stretch?

  4. It will shot out smaller colas but you will have more. I am no longer a fan of cutting my plants in any way besides cloning for seed preservation.

7 days into flower and so far no signs of Hermie! I may kiss that dog yet! Seems to have about 5 colas forming on the top alone. Thanks OG ur right they do seem smaller than what I'm used to seeing on the top.

  8. What's the fuZy tie for??

  9. Fuzy ties or string= fuzz in the bud......1st hand experience with that

  10. Using a few pipe cleaners to tie her over so the lower shoots got light and also to tie the big fans together and below as to help aid in getting as much light to every budsite as I can. I have noticed a little green fuzz Coming off but only on the ends of the cleaner that I cut I can deal with a little fuzz tho I'll be harvesting each bud as it matures and then revegging a month or so and flowering again indoors under cfl.

  11. wait till the buds get sticky. I'm talking from experience. My 1st shot at lst was a fuzzy mess. Find something else unless you're OK with smoking it. I use green gardening wire. Its very cheap.

  12. I have some but im worried its too "sharp" and will end up cutting in to her. I thought about changing them just kinda leery of doing anything else to chance stressing her. since the dog had its way with her I haven't done much to her other than water and keep the light schedule the same. Now is prolly a good time to do it though she's looking healthy again and I only got one tie to change anyway lol

  13. Its not too sharp. Don't twist it super tight around the stem leave growing room. There's other alternatives too. That's just what I like to use.

  14. I swapped the ties with garden wire but upon doing so I noticed a split in the main stem that runs vertically between nodes and I can see white fiber inside the split and now all my bud leaves seem to be dying should I do a cold water flush for a couple weeks and just harvest after that? I'm scared I'm going to end up losing everything this grow and I can't afford that. Any ideas or suggestions?

  15. Any ideas at all what happened this went from perfect green to what u see now in less than 6 hours

I flushed her once just n case it was nute burn and defoilated most all leaves with more than 40 percent damage to them should I just resume normal feeding or since this is the start of the 4th week of flower should I cold water flush a couple weeks and harvest

  18. It's my understanding that the burn caused by heat stress is due to an increase in transpiration, causing it to drink more water faster thus taking in the extra nutes with that water

  19. So what do you advise me to do man I'm a freaking wreck! I'm way more stressed than she is if you can believe that.

  20. unless she starts showing sign of def from flush, probably just plain water before feeding again, make sure to find a solution for the heat
