I need help please Germination Plant

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Daviddkk, May 27, 2015.

  1. Hi , i had 2 seed of cannabis.I'm noob , is my first time when i'm trying to plant weed.So I started germinating them , in 2 days nothing happend with the seeds in paper towel , after 4 days the seeds started to germinate but i left them 1 day more and nothing happend i tought the seeds will die if i'm not planting them.So I planted them too earley , have past 7 days and they didn't sprout,Could be dead or i'm just paranoic ?

  2. Very carefully scratch the soil to see if you can find life.  If so, then give them a soaking and get in direct sunlight.  If not, next time let the root get about an inch long before putting in soil.

  3. I'll try , thanks a lot man !

  4. They'll be just fine.  Keep them warm and moist.

  5. I found my seed but they closed and haven't grow , looks green. They died ? I can still do something ?

  6. Sounds like they weren't busted fully before you placed them down in the soil, try rehydrating them again In paper towel. Otherwise might have to start over.

  7. Alright.I'll give it a try.

  9. You lost nothing but a week and seeds.  I would start over, and if germinating on paper towel let the root get to about an inch long before putting into your growing medium.  Whenever I germinate in soil I always have life pushing through the soil in 4 or 5 days.  The paper towel method of germinating might take me a week to be ready for planting.  I have to note that I do either outdoors with nature's light source.

  10. So is no way to germinate again the same seeds ? I already put them again in paper towel but if you say that i lost i'll buy again.

I would have already had other seeds in soil.  In fact, it's time for me to re-up on seeds because I'm less than a month away from harvest.  Yeah, get more seeds.

  12. Your paper towel, I'm guessing is between a plate or two? Is it in a WARM and DARK place? Is it ALWAYS kept wet/moist?

  13. No i didn't cover it because i read that they need oxigen, it's dark and warm and always wet.But i guess i mean i'm pretty sure they are already dead , so it dosen't matter. Is nothing to do , i'll buy again it was my first time hahaha.

  14. The seed shouldn't be green, was it that colour before germination? I don't agree with the towel technique, if you have good quality viable seeds, bury they asses straight in the soil, lightly water and put it under light. They should be buried about 1/4" beneath the soil and then LIGHTLY covered up. If no life after 5 days, I'd have a poke around to see if there's any growth.

It wasn't green , it was like yellow white something like that idk how to tell u the color but when i tried to germ the seeds after 2-3 turned to black/green color but it was still alive.

  16. Colour can vary between strains and even pheno's. A good viable seed is usually dark in colour or pale with dark markings. You should be able to lightly squeeze it between your finger and thumb without it breaking. Another good way of checking seed viability is to drop them in a glass of water, if it floats it's a dud. When germinating in damp towel, be sure that the seed is fully encased in the damp tissue. You want every part of the seed to be surrounded by a warm, damp membrane. Lightly dampen the towel (wet but not dripping) put it on a plate, place the seed in the centre and fold over the towel. Use your fingers to work the top layer around the seed. Put another plate on top, upside down of course, to create a 'flying saucer'. Place it in a nice warm cupboard in the kitchen or elsewhere, and leave for at least 24 hrs. Transplant the seed once the tap root is around 1/4" long. The tap roots are tremendously fragile at this stage so should be handled delicately while transplanting.

  17. They will germ in soil.

They've been doing it for many years before we came along with paper towels.

  18. When I sprout I take two sheets of paper towel and fold them until it fits inside of a quart size ziplock bag.  Then I drench the paper towel once in side the bag, drain out excess water, place however many seeds inside and seal it up, then put it in direct sunlight until it sprouts to my liking (INSTANT TERRARIUM [IMG] ).  It doesn't take more than 5-7 days total to be ready to put in soil (point the root down [IMG] and cover the top with just a touch of soil.)  When moving into soil, already have the soil drenched first, and while still in ziplock bag make sure to rock down the four corners so the wind doesn't turn it upside down.  You won't have to re-dampen the paper towel at all until you CAREFULLY remove the sprouts.

  19. I only germ in soil now unless I get an urge to do a massive grow in which I like to sprout while I'm getting my grow sites ready.
