Believe me....I have read and read and looked and looked. Some say just burn. Some say the start of leaf tip fungus (a botany professor at university of florida)
everyone has a different diagnosis. Hope that does not happen here.

You have to tell us more about it. We can NOT read minds.

Please provide more information. We know less about that plant than you do.

You SHOULD provide the soil you are using and if you are using fertilizers or pesticides or what not.

It does not look like fungus or mold. It does looks like some sort of burn. This is where you would provide the missing data..

    Really...

Gosh, sorry we didn't get to that quick enough for your liking.

Plant looks fine; only the old lower leaves had any brown tips. If the new growth looks good and vigorous, nothing to worry about IME.

  4. Over watering causing over fert.

Looks corrected by the look of new growth. Let the top 2-3 inch soil dry b4 watering for optimal root zone.

  5. If you overwater, you will have a nitrogen deficiency called denitrification. More so for organics. Not too sure about synthetics.

What is the white patches on the single leaf pic? Is it fuzzy like powdery mildew?

Also, what about those specks all over the leaves? Do you have any bugs under the leaves? Eggs? A microscope will help a ton. If it's a bad infestation you'll see them without. I would also check growth tips. 100x would help identify eggs and certain bugs that can't be seen by 60x. The yellowing tips make me nervous along with the specks.

It would also explain weird nutrient deficiencies. I had one type of mite that caused ghost nutrient deficiency then I had yellow skinny spindly leaves on the new growth.

I think there's a few things going on. It's either mites, soil amendments causing issues or both. I would check for bugs first just to rule them out. I have a hard time seeing mites so you really have to look for eggs or mites for a long amount of time. Don't just check a leaf or two.

If not that then I'm thinking there's an issue with your lime/calcium.

Wow. Thank you SO much. It is mostly top soil and rich Florida soil taken from near the everglades. My mother gave me some fertilizer she says won't burn....but is 20% nitrogen? No mildew. No bugs. Don't over water. I am checking all suggestions....ty ty ty.
EDIT: I have been very liberal with fertilizer. Barely used any yet. ...

  7. Also...I took my jewelers loop magnifyer to undersides. No insects. One "jumper"

  8. I was impatient I guess. Sorry fellas and ladies. Freaked me out. I just noticed a few of the short bushy kush's are female. Does that mean it has entered flowering early? Why? Direct Florida light all day......weird....

Any idea why this tiny runt....treated just the same as the others....same time. Is it unusual to have a runt?
it has the same issues haha!

    SAME TIME!
ALSO...ANY GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS for a first timer. Should I be pruning or anything?

  11. 20?!?! That is the culprit. If you have no other option like something organic which won't burn due to a long drawn out explanation, apply that fertilizer at 1/8 of a dose. This will knock the 20 down to 2.5 which us much easier to not burn with. You can bump it up to a 1/4 strength as it gets bigger. I would replace this though. Very easy to screw up.

Jumper? Could be anything but it could be something undesirable like thrips. You'll know if it's them though.

    Finally, could it be preflowers?

    Good luck!

  12. I'm gonna take a shot and guess the soil was too spicy for the young seedling and caused some burning. Getting past that, the new growth is looking better. I don't think I'd feed it anything but water for a while yet.

  13. Mature plants show pref-lowers. Chill out man. jk [IMG]

  14. I noticed on a few of those images that your leaves and plant were all wet. Are you wetting them like that in full sunlight, or at night? If you are you shouldn't do that. You can burn the leaves or introduce powdery mildew that way.

  18. You sir have spider mites those yellow specks are a sure sign. And as far as the leaf burn looks to be a ph or deficiency issue.
