I started my Journal over in the beginners section, but it hasnt gotten too much attention and i'd be lying if i said im getting the attention i hoped for! lol Here is the link: http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/1366915-first-grow-stealth-cfls-bagseed.html Get you all caught up, this is where I am currently at. It is day 39, 5 weeks and 4 days since germination. I will post updates a few times a week, and look forward to some feedback and watching my babies grow!
Currently running 4 23 watt 6500k cfl's, I have two 45 watt 6500ks, but i couldnt control the temps. I have a new exhaust in the works, since the stink is coming more and more every day.
Pictures of the LST that i did tonight, started the turn! I'm a little confused on when i am supposed to switch to 12/12... I've seen some people say 50 days of veg and then smack 12/12.. Or they say go by the height, but my plant isnt "tall"... I have the pistils showing sex, do I just leave her at 18/6 till more pistils fill in???
I think it mainly depends on how much grow space you've got going on, height-wise mostly. An almost two-month vegging period, coupled with LST'ing would give you huge plants, especially if you use more light (you should though, too). It will take around two months of flowering for it to be ready for harvest and it'll double in size during that time, so be careful.
So my best bet would be to go into flower between day 45 and 50... I'm about to pull the trigger on a tent so if space becomes an issue it will give me a reason to... not sure what I'm gonna do with my little one when I switch to flower... Should I replace one of those 6500ks with a 2700k??
When flowering, plants need 2700k way more than the 6500k. I guess you can leave 1-2 6500k ones if you get at least 6 2700k ones. Try to jam as many CFL's there as you can.
I understand the spectrum and all, but I'll probably go with 4 2700k and a 3000k or 4500k to add some more of the spectrum.. can't pack too many or it'll just turn into an oven.
Well, today is day 47 of Veg. I came home from being away for two days and was surprised with the new growth. I did some more LST'ing and watered tonight. This was after the new LST tonight.
