I've never used them but they look like they could just slide in like a bit of cardboard roach after you've rolled. They'll probably give decent enough airflow if you can roll a good joint.

 

this brings up an interesting topic ive been wondering; do more people add the cardboard roaches at the very end or the very beginning like i do? 

 

^ I put it in at the start I know a few "old school" tokers who put it in at the end, I can roll both ways but the latter doesn't feel "right" but I roll from the top down to the roach, so that could be why.

you know man, i just take a poker and jam the bud up the joints back end a little. kind of pack it in there lol! then it works out with no real mess. been doing it like that for ever so when the cardboard crutch trick came out i never really got on board with it.

I've used them. Its a glass crutch. Hand roll is the easiest way. Airflow good. Clean as often as you like, i dont clean mine but i only got one left. I was told they get lost easy

 

see im the same way, i use the roach almost as a sizing guide for my joint, my Js are all cig shaped over cones so if i want a small joint i just make a small roach, big joints get big roaches and so on, I never used the pencil trick so i dont know what it is but imagine I my joint rolling style is a bastardized version of that. 

 

My friend has one. They're alright, I don't use crutches but it hit pretty good. It was nasty after 1 joint, I would clean it every time.

 

Roll a paper around a pencil, remove pencil, stuff cylinder with weed

 

Another site has similar ones cheaper than the Cypress Hill ones (which are kinda pricey), but overall it's a useful design IME. Wash them after every joint, otherwise they taste disgusting. Definitely a step up from paper/cardstock filters.

 

Makes a great present for a stoner, i had some at Christmas from ali bongo but to be honest my quintessential tips do the job just as well and they are made from pure hemp. in the end i got sick and tired of having to clean them out. but............ it has cypress hill on the box so as a collectors peace they are good. i cleaned mine by soaking them in iso for a while then they are as good as new
