alien life, intersteller travel

  1. So the idea occured to me last night while baked, what if Aliens and intersteller travel are impossible for us to reach because of our elemental list. Like, what if there are really hundreds or thousands of elements in the galaxy that are not found on our puny little planet? Who is to say that our periodic table is woefully underexplored.

So lets say one solar system over they have an element compound that allows for faster than light travel, but we can never achieve that because we lack the means to reach that solar system to find said compound. Makes sense if you think about it. On earth there are things found in one place that you cannot find in others, elements that don't appear except in "small" areas of the world. Scale that up to universal proportions and you have potentially billions of elements that can never be found by us.

  2. Yeah, that's a theory that's out there and is possible. There are theoretical elements that don't exist as far as we know but should exist. There could be something that makes a lot of things we see as impossible, very possible.

  3. Think about this... it also goes with the elements theory mentioned above. We humans in current homosapien civilization, (hehe he said homo), been around for about 7000 years we went from fire to nanotechnology. Think about a civilization that's been around for 30,000 years,100,000 years, he'll 1,000,000 years. What kind of technology will they have.
We humans the current level technology we have is .73 or .78 on the 3 types of civilization we can fathom. Where 1 is u can use all the resources on a planet ... think rain wind solar not oil. Oil is just dead plants and animals. Then a type 2 civilization is one where u can use all the resources of a star. Then a type 3 civilization is where u can use all the resources in a galaxy.
Now think about this one reason we haven't come across an alien civilization is because we live in the suburbs lol. The are of the galaxy we live in is pretty far out from the densely star populated inner part of the galaxy, not the black hole. The inner part of the galaxy could be the hustle and bustle star hopping black market whatever u know maybe our part of the galaxy is rarely visited or it could be a nature reserve or something idk just some thoughts
