So, I've been debating all night whether to post about this, and I figure at this point I have nothing to lose. I have had issues with mental illness (chronic severe depression mostly, possibly bipolar 2) for nearly 3 decades. I have sought relief through self medicating with marijuana for many of those years, and while I do not claim it had any properties to cure my illness, it did clearly provide a level of relief that nothing else did. If anything, it was a simple and seemingly safe way to make an intolerable situation tolerable and it allowed me to work on my situation instead of being overwhelmed with mental illness. Now, all resources for acquiring said medicine for relief has been eliminated and I am lost. The options for me are incredibly limited, as I am too poor to move west and really know of no other alternatives. Just wanted to say that those of you who are blessed with the ability to simply buy what you want/need is something you should thank your lucky stars for everyday, and maybe have a little sympathy for those of us who can't and are being deprived of what is, in my case at least, life saving medicine. Thank you to the Federal Govt for deciding that my life is not worth saving and that arcane rules based on nonsense is more important.

  2. When I was on deaths door I made a decision, before legality was a thought. No government body can tell me what I can and cannot grow. A plant cannot be regulated. It became worth it to me to grow, to become secretive and obsessive and to make enough mistakes to become skilled, to be smarter than my environment and become free.

Cannabis saved my life. There is no doubt it helps with mental illness. I have seen this truth first hand.

You have a new goal today. To be free enough to grow, whether it's a guerrilla grow in the forest or a few ounces in the closet.

Fear is the only thing that comes between you and nature. . .

  3. Thanks for your thoughtful and speedy reply. It is appreciated. As much as I would love to take you up on your advice, due to time and logistics, it doesn't seem to be a viable option for me. For one, I have no idea where to begin (like how to get seeds or clones and generally how to grow successfully). But more importantly, I could imagine a time investment of at least months, and I'm afraid I don't have that kind of time.

  4. I feel you OP, I really do. I struggle with the same issue. Your not alone and we are here for you blade:)

  5. The people who have access to clean and quality medicine are truly blessed and dont know the struggle.

  6. here is how you do it. how you do it in any state.

    1) go to meetupDOTcom. or a site like it. basically a place where people make groups for all kinds of activities. even marijuana advocacy. i also belong to some foodie groups too. pretty fun shit!!
    2) join the marijuana advocacy or medicinal marijuana group in your town. hell search for marijuana / 420 and see what pops up. you get the idea.
    3) go to meetings.
    4) make connections.
    5) get medical marijuana on the cheap.

it took me 1 week to make my first connection here in las vegas. the first meeting i went to for the local WECAN in vegas i got 3 phone numbers for ganja. you just have to meet the people and explain your illness. tell them you are looking for help. see what happens my friend. hell, i got my first hook up for free. they were all about helping people out. that is why i live advocacy and medical groups. post back with your results.

i feel your pain man. i know what it is like to not have medicine when you need it. i am an end stage cancer survivor and deal with complex medical issues on the daily. lots of pain, sickness and depression. hang in there. go find someone to talk to. a pro if you can find one, or a friend if you cant. i too have depression amongst other things and i can honestly say that self medicating with out seeing a professional typically ends in bad news. but hey, you do what you can and roll with the punches. [IMG]

    PS..
ill pm you with another idea.

  7. yeah that's what I would do, just smoke it till ya choke. but really talk with a friend about it

  8. ok so just sitting here thinking about crap and well life has been really really bad I mean what the hell is this all there is? just pain sorrow and getting hit when your down? so all of you out there that know what the hell your doing with this stuff tell me which one is best for depression I really like the strawberry but it doesn't do anything for that it just mellows me out

  9. Just smoke a whole lot more of that strawberry while thinking about those of us who desperately need medicine to keep suicidal ideations at bay and can't even get a single bowl of schwag to smoke. Should make you feel better.

  10. so sorry you don't or can't get some smoke, but to be mad at me is pointless. why are you even on this site if you can't smoke? I have to say with all the new laws concerning this stuff maybe you should move were it's legal to do it. if not you need to get a different doctor one who will help you out, because putting blame on someone who has nothing to do with you being able to get or not get meds is a total waste of energy.
