Larry OG scrog, cherry popping

  1. Hey there all you grass city faithful. I am completely new to this whole gardening thing. This is my first dabble so let the beginner mistakes begin!!!

Going to be doing a 3 plant scrog, using fem seeds from Cali connect. I am going to try to make little individual screens for each but we will see how that goes.

Lighting I have a 8 bulb t5 light for my early veg. Going to switch to a 600w MH for late veg and using a 600w HP's for flower

Nutrients I am using will be the general organics GO box.

Well that's what I have for now. Pictures of room setup will be here soon. Hopefully gonna start popping seeds tonight or tomorrow.

  3. Im gonna follow this 💪

  4. Ran into a couple of first time problems, but was able to get the room finished up today. I am going to start temping it tomorrow. It took me a minute to do the plastic. Blocking it all the light was a pain. But it looks pretty good.

I am wondering where to put my room temp sensors. I think I am going to put one on wall across from the t5 in the veg room and on the "in between" wall in the flower room.

Here are a couple of pics now that the room is finished...

What do you guys think? Not to bad for my first room?

  5. Looks good man!

  6. Thank you. Took me a few months to put together. Learned quite a bit about construction and electrical along the way too.
Better view of flower room. The door for in between the rooms is in the garage getting painted. Trying to think of something cool to paint on it...

  7. How you thinking of making the individual scrogs?

  8. In thinking about using some PVC piping. Going to make a square to surround my smart pot, then I want to attach a 2ftx2ft PVC square on top of it. Gonna be interesting.

  9. Well from what I understand wouldn't it be better to veg out 2 plants for a month and stick them under your 600? Is your flower room a 4x4 area? Bc that's about the coverage your going to get for the 600watts reflector dependent of course. As for thermometer they should be placed at canopy level. I would recommend a laser thermometer tho to see what the actual temps of the leaves are tho.

  10. The flower area has about a 5x5 area under it. But it is oblong. It's about 5x9 counting the area where the filter is. But that area slopes (under the stairs)

  11. The 2 plant thing might be right. The reason I am doing 3 plants is because I have 4 fem seeds and I want to see a little variety. Save 1 in case I kill everything.

  12. Started putting my scrog fixture together tonight. It's looking hella sweet. Ran out of pieces to put it together so no pictures yet. Hopefully soon. Door is painted and drying. I can almost see the starting line lol...

  13. Did you light proof the door?!

  14. It should be pretty light right. I picked up some weather stripping that is in the shape of a B. Gonna put it around the door and along the bottom. Should be good. Fingers crossed

  15. Had a couple light gaps. Filling them in as I post lol. Coming along nice. Room temps are around 74 ish. But that's in the air accepts from my lights. Getting a couple more thermometers tomorrow. Felt like I was so close... Yet so far away lol

  16. Humidity is at like 35%. I assume that will go up when there are plants with water in the rooms

  17. Yeah it goes up with watered plants

  18. Good news. This morning I woke up to find that one of my seeds that was germinating had sprouted a root. Gonna get that bad boy into some soil and get a picture up asap. Hopefully the other will pop before I get home

  19. I am proud to say that today I am the happy father of two baby girls. Missy and Gwen. Must popped about 6 hours before Gwen. Both looked healthy. Planned into pro mix BX in what I think are 5L pots. Gave them a little water.
I put them in the room because the house gets cold at night. I placed them just outside the t5 light. The top of the pots are 12" off the ground and the light is at 36". (24" between them) Hopefully this will keep them warm and happy.

Should I wait till they pop leaves up before I start to give them nutrients?

I do however have a question about canopy height. In my flower room, the glass lid on my good is 60" of f the ground. What is a good height to put my scrog net at. In an emergency I can raise the hood about 5" by adding different hooks. I know it varies by strain and other stuff but I am just looking for a good place to start.
