base mix- 5 gallons of peat moss 4 gallons aeration(50% perlite 50% vermiculite 4 gallons earthworm castings thats a little less than 2 cubic feet. amendment mix- 1 1/2 cups kelp meal 1 1/2 cups espoma garden tone 1/2 cups blood meal 1/2 cups bone meal add all 4 cups of this mix to my base soil and add in 2 cups of garden lime from espoma, and around 3-4 cups of granite dust/azomite per cubic foot..So 6-8 cups of rock dust. Cook and enjoy. What do you think? I used this soil before but never finished a harvest in it. I did use it for tomatoes one year a while back and they did friggin great. Also, would it be ok if i were to mix 2 batches of base mix and use the second batch as a seedling mix? just add a bit of lime to neutralize the ph of the peat right? Just in case you are wondering, no i am not starting another half cocked grow. Doin raised garden beds this year, and i refuse to do it without an organic soil.
