Hello, First time grow. Its been awesome to watch the little guys grow, but i realize that with my setup im going to be in trouble without some training. Ive got 9 youngin's in roughtly 9 sq feet. Some are with feminised seeds, and others are with freebie seeds that could come up anything. The plants get direct sun most of the day, but only from the top of the box. I figure ive got a month left of vegetative growth, and if they keep up like this its going to be a jungle in there before i can thin out any non female plants. I was looking at simple topping, where one cuts 80% of the new growth, which seems simple enough to execute. I am specifically looking for advice for a setup where light come from above, and very little from the sides. Any advice and links very appreciated. Ive read through the sticky posts on here, and think topping is the way to go, but wanted to throw the matter out there to ensure im not missing something else i should be doing. Thank you!
Any pics of this box? I say topping and then SCROGing is the way to go. A google image search for 'topping cannabis' should bring up a good picture of exactly where to cut. And there's a Scrog thread here on GC
