Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states tell Obama they will increase their own nuclear capabilities if Iran deal passes

We can all thank Obama for starting the middle eastern arms race!

  2. That doesn't even make sense.

What would Iran do with no deal? Then there is nothing to allow inspections or reductions in the enrichment levels. They have a better chance to develop nukes without a deal.

Use your noggin, not your rhetoric. :smoke:

  3. A freshly minted talking point!

  4. There's already word that Iran will not allow complete access to all its nuclear sites. It really doesn't matter what Iran does at this point.

Obama's appeasement has come across to the Gulf states as an acceptance of Iranian nukes.

  5.
That word is from hardliners that are not a part of the process. No matter how you feel, a treaty is the only option that has a chance of containment. It is better to try and reach an accord than to wring your hands and declare that it won't work because of this or that fear/prejudice. :smoke:

  6. A nuclear arms race in the middle east would be pretty funny

Edit - shame on you Dilla for linking to one of Canada's worse media outlets.

  8. The only hardliners saying that are in Iran...

Iran refuses to open key base to IAEA

  9. Good, all states should have nuclear capabilities, maybe we'd all play nicer with each other knowing we could kill each other. It's worked mildly well for us and Russia.

    Nvm, off topic.

  11.
Exactly and what do you think will happen when Iranian leaders tell them yes, Yes you will allow the inspections?

You still haven't addressed what happens without an accord. :smoke:

  13. this has been unfolding for a lot longer than Obama has been president.

  14. The nuclear race started in the middle east when Israel got nuclear weapons.

You want a nuclear weapon free middle east?
    Then give Bibi a ring...

  15. Considering the political volatility of Arabic nations they should themselves be responsible enough to keep nukes away from themselves.

As far as I know no West Asian countries have nukes except for Israel and Turkey, right?

Syria tried, brought in North Korean scientists to build an exact copy of a nuclear facility in N Korea.

A few weeks from it being complete Israel blew the entire facility to hell.

Today we can make guns using 3D printers. Tomorrow we'll find a way to build nukes or other mass destructive weapons at home.

We need a world wide nuclear non-proliferation treaty. And for once the US should be the one to take a peaceful initiative.

Nukes are intended for total destruction, not to stop an army.

Pay up, America!  I'm sure money and arms are what the Gulf Nations also want from sugar daddy USA from the recent Camp David meeting.

  17. You guys follow the news?

  18. Just nuke that whole area, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebannon and everything...pretty much from Egypt to India. That should solve it
