Precautions to take when making clones

  1. Hello! First time grower here. We are about to switch our plants (Blueberry, Orange Hill Special and Euphoria) to the flowering phase on Saturday. My friend wants to make a clone out of each one of them and I'm a little bit concerned about that because I'm afraid it will stress the plants a lot (and I don't want any hermies).

Anyway, I'd like to know if I should apply anything to the place where I prune the girls at to help them heal (just like you apply something to the pruned branches to make them grow roots).

Should I be too worried? Thanks for the input guys :)

  2. Other than spraying a little water on the cut, just keep things clean and you won't see any stress, she won't notice a loss of a little branch if she's of any decent size

  3. you should be fine...keep it all clean, and tidy, pick the clones lower down as there should be more hormones about there, they will need to be re vegged...look to making a bubble cloner for better returns and its fun too..

  4. I always take some cutting a few days before I begin the flower cycle, and I haven't had a hermie.
