Since there isn't a thread we need one. I use the four screens from fresh headies and use the static DVD trick that cut cleaning down to a few swipes and done. Heres a few pictures I don't have macro camera so nothing up close yet Picture 2 is contaminate
Hell yeah brother. I am subbed. Lets get this Dry Sift Army assembled. Just going to hop right into the dirt. Looks great, but there is still some cleaning to be done. I am sure you know this, and am not bashing. Just observing. I haven't really been able to get cleaner than like 90-95% without carding. It is a bitch, but give it a try and stick with it. Once you figure out the carding it gets crazy addictive. Becomes an exercise in (Just how clean can I get this resin.) Who really need a macro lens when GC loads the pics large like that. Lol. Hell yeah lets get this party started. Crazy how the colors of the piles change as you clean. Prob. my favorite thing so far about the whole experience is dry sifting really gives you the opportunity to really learn your resin from each strain. Before I started dry sifting and doing high end IWE I just though resin was resin. Oh how I was wrong. Now I don't even look at the flower when I look at plants. I get in and study the resin. is it greasy, grainy, wet, dry, big, small, etc, etc.
Alright lets get this party started. Here is a little breakdown of how I do my dry sift. Obviously we first need screens. They can be purchased directly from Bubbleman @ Freshheadies.com or you can go the cheap route and get nearly the same sizes at Poconoscreens.com. The decision is up to you. For this method you want a top screen as close to 100 lines per inch that you can find. On the bottom you want a 200 line per inch. Pocono sells a 110 and 196 which will work just fine. Of couse you could play around with screen sizes if you want, but there are some great guys out there that have done all this research already. So here is how I stack my screens Now of course we need some material. Trim or nugs. For this bounce I am using some nug Now when doing static parchment to clean you can be really rough with the material, and just clean it later. If you only plan to card don't be as rough. Just break up nugs and bounce off screen, and rub around. Just play with the shit. Flick the screen once in a while and it will help release anything that is stuck. After I work the material I collect it into one big pile. Then break it up into smaller piles to clean. Smaller amounts are easier to work with. Now I just spread it out on the 200 line screen like this Now it is just a matter of running a dvd wrapped in parchment over it. I never do more than 2 swipes without cleaning the heads off the dvd. What you get is heads that will collect on the backside of the dvd. Pretty clean but not there yet. This will do the majority of the separation for you. Now with just a few swipes you can see the color difference of the pile. I will go over how I card in another post. Here is the finished product from the static parchment. It is about I would say 80-90% clean. This strain looks almost like DMT when cleaned up. Obviously there are other methods out there. This is what I do, and with carding I can get to 95-99% clean. Up to this point takes me about 1 hour. Less if I work fast.

Here's the answer from the bubble thread on what I was doing with four screens The tech is when cleaning contaminate (CT) fall they float and get stuck, Im just doing it with 4 screens, sorta. break up on 60 LPI screen. Also collect all that CT for edibles. after break up and some bouncing I go down to the 200LPI screen and clean it with static. What I have noticed is there is a lot less CT it's mostly heads, so when I static it picks up most of the material. I'm in the low 90%, but like you said 99% is the end game
LOL that is exactly the process I was thinking of trying. Kind of combine DSW tech and parchment/carding in one swoop. I like. Gotta try. So you are basically using the 2 middle screens to just help do a pre-clean/screen if you will. Very nice, good thinking.
ya there just catching. So normally you would use the 110 LPI and then clean all that shit out, But some that CT that would go through on the 110 LPI has more chances of never making it that far down
A little tid bit of info I have learned dry sifting. You can now take your contaminant piles and still dvd some really small heads out. Some do fall through the 200 screen. They never melt very well, and it is impossible to get them to even 90% but the stuff is great in joints, or just rosin your contaminant piles. I just got done rosining my ct piles. Got about .64g.
Like most of us who follow the Bubble/rosin/ and sift we waste nothing lol. I took a small dose of my tincture I made(magical butter, which I broke in one day) felling good
Have you guys tried wrapping any thing else in parchment? I have found I like a cd case better than a dvd case. The edges are sharper and I seam to be able to get more on there before cleaning. I have been going in one direction only but doing either multiple swipes or turning it 180* without lifting and going back and forth over the pile to be cleaned.
I do the pile in all directions. Just one direction per 2 swipes though if that makes sense. I might try your 180 trick and work it in 2 directions at once.
Screens? 100 line and 200 line is where I would start. Just me though. Check out Pocono screens, or Fresh Headies.
Been interested in this.. Heard of the static trick, never looked into it.. Or any sifting really. Id rather Rosin Tech sift rather than buds. Also would be dope to cover a nug in some sugar wax rolled in bomb sift! (Insert Smiley face hitting bong here) I thought this sift process involved dry ice. Lol
You could def do dry ice kief and clean it up. Start watching some videos on You tube and be ready for your eyes to be opened. There is kief and then there is clean dry sift. No similarities.
Oh son you arte missing out. Dry sift is the Holy Grail Dab material brother. It is so far superior to anything else I can't put it into words.
