8x4x7 grow tent with 2 1000 watters.

  1. I'm going from guerrilla grows and trying my hand at indoor. I was given a grow tent from a buddy and purchased 2 1000 watt digitalls and im running Eye Hortilux bulbs ( both MH and HPS ). With an 8x4x 7 ft grow tent, would this be enough of a light footprint for this size area? I have hooked up my ventilation with the help of another buddy who tapped into my furnace for cold air from my central air unit to my air cooled hoods and my exhaust and fresh airs are 6 inch with a scrubber. Temps are consistent at 70 degrees and my hand and temps at the highest is 90 degrees at about 6 inches off the lights. Not really worried about stealth just quality (nearest neighbor is a mile away. Scrubber is just so my whole damn house doesn't wreak lol). I will be using an 8 bucket bubbler system so my only concern might be water temps, but have a remedy for that if it happens.

Am I on the right path?

  2. Found your journal bro! I'm in for the ride!

  4. I figured as much. Just want to saturate them with as much TLC as I can ;)

  5. As babys you want nice light no over done burn.. thats why I have 300 600 .n 1200 watts

  6. You might need a chiller for the bubbler system or use some Z7 by Flying skull products helps keep the roots clean and healthy. I use it for now in my hydro recirculating drip system. Iuse to use it when I was growing with a Current Culture under current system

Just make sure your roots don't get into hot water lol but seriously make sure your water temp doesn't over 72f and you should be fine

  7. I'm running adjustable ballast at 50% to ensure no light burn, no worries there ;)

  8. I think temps will be good. Covering the tops of the buckets with the same material that the inside tent is made from to protect from algae and slime (read about on here) and to bounce back some light that sneaks through the canopy back up into it. The ground base is concrete in a basement and it stays a constant temp of 55 degrees in there due to my land sitting on an underground lake. Setting the pots on the concrete floor so I should be ok considering my temp in the tent during an 8 hour run at full blast was 70 degrees. But, will definitely. Keep an eye on the temps.

  9. I'm also planning on doing a bubbler setup, so just curious how you're setting up yours. Also, any idea on what type of yield you expect with an 8 bucket setup? What size are your buckets going to be? Also, are you doing anything for humidity control?

  10. Sorry for the hiatus..doing that family thing ;)

Ive actually upgraded quite a bit since last I posted. Decided to hold off on starting till all materials were in. I ordered another 4x4x7 tent with another 1k just for it and added another 1k to my 4x8 to give me 2k with Hortilux bulbs. Hoods are air cooled using a 240 cfm inline and fresh air coming from my central air unit for the time being. Once weather gets colder outside, I may have to get an AC unit, but growing in a finished block and concrete basement, temps are always a solid 60 degrees year round.

Have an 8 bucket system (Root Spas)in both and running some autofems (Jack Herer and Critical Haze) in the 4x4 and GSC and Cannatonic femd in the 4x8. Everything is germinating now and will be ready to drop in 3 days.

My buckets are 5 gallon with 10 inch pots and as for humidity control....I'm using the air ducts from my central air unit for my fresh air and pumping it out with a 240 cfm inline out of the tents. Temps are a solid 72-78 degrees and set up some water in buckets with lights on and it never got above 68 degrees ( thank you concrete floors )

  11. if you have some money to spend buy 2 og s reflectors. Would fit perfectly in that space and there is no better good imo.

  12. the cool tubes seem to be doing quite well! Check out my grow journal below in the link!

  13. ye but with the og's you can match your 2x1000w with 2x600w... Tesred by Royal Queen Seeds if I remember corectly
